Stegosaurus stew. Which in this case is this: White Turkey Chili - Martha Stewart Recipes
With a tortilla cut up in triangle and spread around the bowl like stegosaurus plates are believed to have been ordered.
It's sort of a different look at a paleolithic diet.

ETA: That reminds me of my favorite song from my kindergarten years. The stegosaurus was my favorite dinosaur.

Re: What's for Dinner?
Weird. Like everyone else, we had chili last night too.
And with that, our long national nightmare is over. We're getting pho tonight, then leftovers the rest of the week!

It's been proven scientifically that the stegosaurus is the best dinosaur.

Re: What's for Dinner?
Tonight: Lamb tagine, hummus, pita bread and steamed snow peas, followed by dessert of cut up pears and mangos.
Lamb tangine was pretty sweet.

Green chili smothered brownies!
JK. We had the green chili already, and the brownies are in the oven now.
Still. Think about it.

Take-away Thai appetizers. Too bad this restaurant is a ways away (even though there are like 30 Thai places just up the street from us), they were good and the menu interesting.

Re: What's for Dinner?
I was bored so I made a pizza. I have to be bored to do this, otherwise dough pisses me off. It's in the oven now, with all my remaining sauce (it was barely enough), all my mozzarella and a little provolone to help things along (this is good actually) and a pile of pepperoni and onions.
I ran out of jalapenos but it'll still be pretty awesome, it just won't kick me in the face when I eat it. Oh well. Next time I'll actually buy shit to make pizza with and not just raid my sandwich crap and the flour tin.

Re: What's for Dinner?
Then again, one of these days I do want to try one of my bizarro experiments:
Megatron sandwich pizza - featuring horseradish, pastrami, roast beef, onion, jalapeno, provolone and my god-king crust. This has to happen.
I just don't know what the fuck to use as sauce for it, I'm not sure your average pizza sauce is going to play nice with this cast and crew.

That combo sounds good, but lacks cheese. Make a bechamel sauce but add something other than cheddar for your uses. Like Swiss or provolone.

Or just made a creamy horseradish sauce using something like mascarpone as the base. I made the best pizza of my life with a savory mascarpone sauce.

Re: What's for Dinner?
I always put provolone on my pizza, lately aged provolone because we have an awesome cheese monger at our farmer's market.
Tonight I'm making something with ground turkey, probably Swedish meatballs but I might switch to meatloaf at the last minute,

Re: What's for Dinner?
Speaking of provolone, I made a bacon cheeseburger with it.
Not pictured: The bacon cheeseburger. It got eated. It was awesome.

Re: What's for Dinner?
Fresh fillet of wild brown trout, briefly baked in the oven covered with a crust made of breadcrumbs, olives, cherry tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, rosemary, basil and thyme. Served with some nice steamed green beans, and some baby potatoes, into which you melt some butter and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
