Yup, and doing the surly hormonal young teen thing very well. But she's healthy and happy, even though she doesn't like being told what to do. Or, for that matter, what not to do. And she's so damned curvy! I'm rillyrilly not looking forward to the next few years.
As for me, I'm now fulltime caregiver to an old family friend with alzheimer's. She's a good egg, though, so that's ok. We're all adjusting to the sudden changes, and we're doing alright. So far, so good.
It does mean that I have very little time at my computer desk these days, though. I just stop in for a few minutes here and there as I can, when grabbing a coffee or a few minutes to myself away from chores and other people. And after today, it's school holidays for 6 weeks, so my time online will be even less.
So, don't go away again, ok! I fully expect you to still be here, bringin' da lurrv, when I am able to return to more lengthy and energetic online repartee! Don't make me come over there!

Yeah, don't you just love them? That's my sister's. My parents have her other 5 family members (dad, mom and three siblings), two of whom (her mom and brother) will be living with me shortly, since they can no longer cope with 7 dogs (they also have an Alsation and a Lab). I love pugs so much my heart almost bursts when I see them. They're quite possibly the most beautiful things in all of existence.

I'm presuming you've changed nationality since ethnicity would be a hard switch? Or is it more complicated than that?

What? It could happen!
Seriously though, I'm still single and living with my buddy squian, but now in Austin, Texas. I work at a "major computer company" as they say, but not doing anything particularly inspiring. I was doing work as a SQL DBA for about nine months, but that contract ended and now I'm doing basic network admin/gopher work.
That's about all the news that's fit to print!
|
You had me going for a moment. My current estimation of Texas is quite low because
a) Its your chimp-in-chief's home
and
b) My sole exposure to texans recently has been a reactionary dolt with the nick "TexasHick" on the forum I linked to who I think is a bitter white South African expat.
Good to know Texas has at least one redeeming quality.

Congratulations on your new bundles of puggle joy, Farren. You must be so excited. When does the pugstork arrive?

Oh yeah, that's something else that's different. The happy, go-lucky, fun-loving Crumb you knew is no longer here. There's someone else with the same handle, but he's a whiny petulant little bugger.

Excellent. That means she won't be in the arcade so much BEATING MY HIGH SCORES like before.
My condolences, BTW Raising children is a real cow, which is why I'm perfectly contented with being a doting uncle of three brilliant nephews.

I've changed too, Farren. I'm no longer reluctant to shake gummi bears at people who make such horribly ugly threats.
That's right. The gloves are off, baby!

Actually, I'm just joking. I don't know what happened to him. Haven't seen him around lately.

I did find God though. All this time searching and come to find out he'd just gone on a beer run and got lost.

I hope you took him home and tucked him in nicely. I heard from a a friend of mine, Job, that he never lets a good deed go unrewarded.
