Default How would the world be different if there were a Pope?

It's a good question because there isn't one you know. :P

Catholic Priest Who Says “You Can’t Be Catholic and Democrat” Says “Pope Francis Is Not the Pope”
Blurb and video at link

Synopsis (yes I wasted a half hour): The issue is giving communion to people known to be in a state sin.
If you teach that's OK, you're automatically excommunicated, period. And you know who does that? That's right ...

:mocking:

I somehow missed this back when it happened.

Apparently called for the Pope to be killed, etc, also.

Anti-Pope update:

Italian priest excommunicated for calling Pope Francis a "usurper"| Catholic News Agency

Quote:
An Italian priest has been excommunicated by his local bishop for saying in a homily that Pope Francis “is not the pope” and calling him “a usurper.”

The Diocese of Livorno in Tuscany issued a decree on Jan. 1 notifying Catholics that Father Ramon Guidetti “publicly committed a schismatic act” during Mass and has ipso facto incurred “latae sententiae excommunication,” or an automatic excommunication.

Bishop Simone Giusti informed his diocese that Catholics are not to attend any Masses offered by the excommunicated priest or they would also “incur the very serious penalty of excommunication.”

The bishop cited Canon 751, which defines schism as “the refusal of submission to the Supreme Pontiff or of communion with the members of the Church subject to him.”

Traditionalists double down.

Archbishop Vigano: Swiss guards should arrest Bergoglio and Fernandez, expel them from the Vatican - LifeSite

Quote:
...

“The blasphemous sewer regurgitations of Tucho’s repulsive pamphlet show such a level of perversion and alienation to the Faith as to demand the expulsion manu militari of the Argentinean and his accomplices,” Viganò wrote on X (formerly Twitter.) “The Swiss Guards have sworn to defend the See of Peter, not the one who is systematically demolishing it. Let them therefore be faithful to their oath and arrest these heretical perverts!”

...
Is this a "derangement syndrome"? :snicker:
