So you believe that it makes sense that all the spies would vote for a mission with two resistance on it? That idea seems crazy to me.

This is why not voting in the thread is counter-productive.

The game play is suffering.

Sorry, guys. The last vote came in last night, but this is the first chance I've had to sit down and type up the result.

Proposal 2.1 passes, but the mission fails! I'm tellin' y'all, it's sabotage!

ProposalProposed ByDaphnechunksDeadlokdContraKaelCrumbJEROMEMission ResultVotes
1.1: Daphne, chunksDaphneYesYesYesYesYesNoYesSUCCESS2S
2.1: chunks, Deadlokd, JEROMEchunksYesYesYesYesNoNoNoFAILED2S-1F

#Player
1Daphne Girl
2chunksmediocrities
3DeadlokdLEADER
4Contrapposto
5Kael
6Crumb
7JEROME DA GNOME

Deadlokd is the new leader. This mission team will need to have 3 members.

The game is tied at 1-1.

I voted no because I didn't like the idea of jumping in two unknowns with Chunks, it opens too many possibilities if the mission fails, which it did.

The conspiracy nut in me is leaning toward Chunks being a spy, since it's a pretty good ploy on his part to provide two completely new people on which to lay blame.

Interesting, but that would make Jerome Daphne and Dl look innocent, which would make the scum team chunks, contra and then me or you. I think Daphne is more likely a spy and then one of Jerome or Dl.

Here's the thing: I wanted two unknowns with me so we could start winnowing down through fails while we still have small teams for missions; it is going to be crunch time later on for the resistance if we don't have some idea of potential spies. At least that was my thinking at the time.

If I was a spy certainly it would be a good tactic to success the first mission and then set myself up as the sole spy on mission 2- but I'm not the spy. Only myself and the real spies know that, so I can't expect you real resistance members to believe me without more to go on. Either Deadlokd or Jerome (or a lesser chance of both) are spies.

As a group offering suggestions to our new leader, what 3-person combination is going to either give the resistance a success, or better identify resistance from spies? Or both?

If we miss this one we are down 2 to 1, so we do not want to mess around with possible failures, we must get a successful mission.

Funny, I have you or Chunks. It would be a nice cover to vote against the mission thinking it would go through and then fail it. You are very vocal about wanting people to talk in thread about their actions. That would give you an idea of which way the wind is blowing.

WIFOM says that Chunks passed the first one knowing he was leading the second and wouldn't meet too much opposition to whoever he picked.

I'm in two minds for my mission. One is me, Daphne and Chunks, the other is me and two unknowns. Thoughts?

Do you honestly believe that all the spies (or 2 out of 3 of them if you think I might be a spy) voted for a proposal that had two resistance members on it? This really makes me think you are a spy.
Crumb, what are the possibilities of both of them being a spy? I would think that it would be safest for spies to vote for a successful mission 1 regardless. Especially if both who are on mission 1 are spies.

I would think that by mission 2 however one would want the other one off the mission so that there is no chance of there being two "fail" votes thus narrowing the scope for the resistance to find them.

I'm not completely convinced of this as I also find Jerome's suspicion of Crumb to be odd. If chunks and Jerome were both spies then that would defeat the entire purpose of such a ploy.

Why are you suspecting Crumb of being a spy?
You haven't really given much, if any, legitimate reason as to why.

I can see what you are thinking with putting "You, Daphne, and chunks" on the next mission however, regardless of whether it sorts some things out, it's extremely risky, Dl. If you do that one there is the possibility of another fail. Then we are down 2-1.

I'm not at all completely certain about you for that matter. I'm just seeing a stronger web of suspicion between either Daphne and chunks or Daphne and Jerome, not to mention Jerome's suggestion of Kael which makes me suspicious of him as well though, admittedly, not much else makes him suspect.

I will say that If it were you (you simply because it's your proposal) and two untested players then I would definitely be able to get behind You, Crumb, and Myself. I'm the only one that I am 100% certain about but I can't see Crumb being so far out there, with such rational arguments, if he were a spy. I've looked at his numbers several times now and they make sense.

We need further discussion from everyone regarding the risk/reward of whoever we decide on.

Remember that mission 4 has to have 2 "fail" votes to be sabotaged.

If mission 3 does turn out to be a failure, would we have gleaned enough information with those selected, combined with info from the previous missions, to make sure there is no more than one spy on mission 4 (preferably none)?

What combination will provide us with the greatest level of information when choosing players for future missions?

This should all be discussed before making your proposal.

Though I definitely believe there is more than one conclusion to be derived from his statistical data, I feel that his posts have been very concise, more so than scum or spies would be, imo. I see no real contradictions either as he appears to be moving along a consistent vein in regards to his thoughts.

Finally, he appears to be hunting spies.

What about his posts, while reading them back to back, makes you suspicious of him?

Your last post didn't really answer my question.

It seems unlikely that a spy would pick another spy to go along with them on mission 1, but it would explain why chunks dropped daphne from his mission 2 proposal. So mission 1 could have been complete misdirect and had two spies on it. I am considering that possibility more now than before.

Yes, please give me enough credit that if I was one of the spies AND the leader for that mission, that I wouldn't really want to have another spy on the mission, and risk two FAIL votes on a 3-person team, when one would do, and give up all that info to the resistance. It is pretty unlikely that Jerome AND I would be the spy, or Deadlokd AND I would be the spy.

I don't know about Deadlokd, Daphne, Chunks- in only that if it is a success, that's great, but if it is a fail, then the rest of the resistance still doesn't have a better gauge on which one of us is the spy. I know either you or Jerome is a spy, but of course if I was the spy I would say that anyway, so we're stuck.

You with two unknowns- that has some positives, but

Er, crap. I just re-read the OP and only this moment realized that there are actually three spies among the seven of us. Fuck I am slow.

Why didn't I... anyway. Um, I have to rethink strategy, I'm still thinking Resistance II models.
