Re: Winnie the Flu
I'm not sure if you are aware Jerome, but there is currently a pandemic disease killing a lot of people. You might want to wear a mask to reduce the spread. No baby eating necessary.

Re: Winnie the Flu
That's very true, Bort. Judging by his recent posting history, Jerome believes the cure lies in shockingly excessive consumption of "sizzurp" or "purple drank" or whatever they're calling their beverage of choice nowadays.

Re: Winnie the Flu
It makes sense, I mean when I want to show my power off to my peons I certainly ‘force’ them to wear items that can protect their health, since afterall even if the 19th Covid is fake, masks are a tried and true way to reduce the chances of catching other viruses.
Frankly I hope this increase public mask wearing in general as there are lots of large events that spread illness that don’t need to be as bad. Besides N95 cuts down on smells, and double filter masks practically eliminate them.
What I certainly wouldn’t do to show my power is convince people to put their own health at risk for my profit while my propaganda networks prop up their egos for being rebels. That’s a dumb idea that would never fool you.

Re: Winnie the Flu
In the run-up to passing the ACA, teabillies throughout the land were protesting with "Obama Lied, Grandma Died" signs strapped to their Hoverounds. That's now morphed into, "Grandma would joyfully lay down her life so the CEO can continue receiving seven-figure bonuses and lunchtime handjobs from a sex-trafficked teenager at the 'massage parlor.' And if Grammy won't lay down her own life for those noble ends, we'll do it for her."

Re: Winnie the Flu
I should add that I probably have a different experience with masks than a lot of other Americans. Here in SF we have multiple decent sized asian communities and a good sized medical community, so public mask wearing was already something seen occasionally. Mask wearing became a more common sight a good month before the lockdown even started. Long before Muni Bus drivers required masks, that homeless guy who smells a bit of pee carrying a wet blanket and is agitated because he hasn’t had his hit today was the first enforcer of anyone who coughed without a mask on. Those must have been some deep cover agents from the man. But from my perspective we’ve been doing this shit to more safely be around other people since before anyone had to tell us too, and even the guys having conversations with invisible people understood the point.
ETA:
“Do you have a fucking mask!? I know you can fucking hear me, I said, Do You have a mother fucking mask?! Cough your germ riddled mother fucking aids fucking ass in your fucking mask you nasty sick fucker. Thank You! Have a nice day!” - Deep cover agent of the state.

Re: Winnie the Flu
The full preliminary data from the NIH remdesivir study was finally published (dumped Friday before Memorial Day weekend ) and it remains not a slam dunk. The endpoint change is confirmed to be above board. No mortality benefit.
The recovery rate benefit was significant only in patients receiving supplemental oxygen without ventilation (and not in those who were not receiving oxygen or were receiving ventilation).
This is how the authors chose to present that, presumably after negotiation with peer reviewers (my emphasis):
Quote:
The benefit was most apparent in patients with a baseline ordinal score of 5 (requiring oxygen), a finding most likely due to the larger sample size in this category (since the interaction test of treatment by baseline score on the ordinal scale was not significant). Confidence intervals for baseline ordinal scores of 4 (not receiving oxygen), 6 (receiving high-flow oxygen), and 7 (receiving ECMO or mechanical ventilation) are wide.
|
If your confidence interval is too wide that means you don't have enough data to know what is going on. "Most apparent" = only significant finding, in this case. It is most likely that the sample sizes in other groups were too small, but not enough data to show that.

Re: Winnie the Flu
Bozo gave an unexpected, and yet in hindsight totally expected (see Guy Verhofstadt's tweet), complete defence of Cummings in a briefing this afternoon.
Someone from the official @UKCivilService Twitter account tweeted “Arrogant and offensive. Can you imagine having to work with these truth twisters?” And the tweet was shortly deleted.

Interested in seeing whatever is in D. Cummings’ family wealth and what his portion of the will might look like.

Except its not true. The government is paying for Covid diagnose, plus forces hospitals in the red because they can not do 'elective' procedures. This is simple rational thought to understand what will, and did, happen.
Everyone knows, that is in the know. These are not dumb people.
Coronavirus is, according to every published medical encyclopedia you can look at in the library, the common cold.
Note that for youth sports they are requiring children to wear cloth masks whilst participating in athletic activity. Think about how many young children will die in the heat and humidity whilst wearing their mask running to first base. Hypoxia is the real threat.
How do you think the Olympians will do with cloth masks? lol
This is all a political play to see how far they have 'educated' the public to follow government direction.
Still love you Crumb.

Government was paying extra to put covids on ventilators.
Did they not know, or were they pumping up the dead numbers?
Its not beyond them, they did give a whole town of niggers syphilis to track how it spreads, over decades. They gave that service for free, btw.
