That's the whole point of this thread! If it's not on the forum index, then the title doesn't get lined up with the poster, nor does it ever get cropped. You can't just throw an ellipsis anywhere in a title, slap the name of someone who posted in it at some juncture at the end, and post it as a combo.

Umm ... how come this is just being brought up now? It's been done time and again by various posters throughout this thread. Just go look, I'm sure you'll find plenty of examples.

Besides, why can't you? It expands the number of possible threads to be used and results in some still very funny posts.

Brought up now? It's in the OP, Shake. If other people have randomly cropped titles and matched them with random posters then they were wrong too. There's no way to go back and check without bumping every thread to see how it crops on the index.

You can't do it your way because it ruins the cool randomness of it, the fortuitous circumstances of title cropping and username association which only happen on the forum index as a space saving device. Of course you can contrive titles and usernames to look naughty or funny together, but that's, well, contrived and therefore miles less entertaining.
