Whaaaat?!
:unwhat:

I didn't know there was a limit, first of all. I thought that was a satellite internet service trick. But I guess if I ever went over it I would have known. I surf a lot--dunno how to figure out how much--and have never bumped into a limit of any kind.

But they'll shut you down for a year?! Gosh, that seems a little draconian.

Bandwidth Caps for Residential High-Speed Internet in the U.S. and Japan

Yeah, it would seem that caps are all the rage now, luckily with Comcast having a higher cap than a lot of the others. Most users will never even come close to 250GB a month, so there's really nothing to worry about. But, of course, my step-son has to be in the 1 percentile of people who do nothing else besides download and upload 24/7.

Ja, I knew the reference to the Blue Light Specials, but I knew you just had to be talking about WallyWorld. :shudder: I'll be going there tomorrow, matter fact. :scaredshiver:

Uh.... that's a lot of bandwidth. What is he uploading/downloading? Or do you want to know?

People in my neighborhood seem to have a sidewalk phobia.
Previously I had only seen joggers running down the street, and they claim it keeps them from running into cars pulling out of drive ways, whatever.
Here it's up to three people strolling down the street who give you stink eye if you say, try to drive down the street.
Did I mention that we actually have sidewalks?

That is the other option, and if I can't get a business class account for some reason, which I can't see that I won't be able to Monday, then, that's what he'll have to do. At that point, he'll be responsible for the installation fees along with his own bill, of course.

Uh.... that's a lot of bandwidth. What is he uploading/downloading? Or do you want to know?
The kid literally does nothing with his spare time, which he has a lot of because he's presently only working 2 to 3 days a week, downloading and streaming movies, videos, torrents, etc. Per instance, he'll download an entire series of some show and then proceed to watch every episode from beginning to end. And when he downloads movies, of course, they have to be in HD for him and that's twice the GBs of non HD movies, and considering how many movies he downloads, that's a LOT of GBs right there.

Then you have his x-box. On top of playing online a lot of the time, he's constantly buying and downloading new games online.

And then you have the torrent programs he uses where in order to not get kicked off the sites, you have to keep your share ratio up which means that he has to leave it to seed/upload for days on end.

From what I've been able to ascertain, he's not pirating, so I'm not too concerned about that. I am going to have a talk with him about it though today just to make sure he knows that that's not acceptable use of my account, tyvm, so don't even think about it or you're cut off. Done.

heh, actually, from what I've gathered, there is quite a bit of porn being downloaded. Whatever, I'm not the one washing his sheet/chair/floor/whatever.

Dogs who bite my husband when he is mowing the lawn.

If your dog bites random passers by, perhaps you should consider a muzzle when you take him out jogging.

Annoying: a headache that no OTC pain pills will touch. I'm beginning to fear for my liver.

(Only annoying because it's not a stabbing pain or a migraine or anything. It just hurts and won't go away. Annoying!)

Also annoyed at the idea that I should depend on being safe by me packing heat, rather than the public areas actually being safe because people were responsible dog owners or ninjas, or something.

On another day, I might be posting this in "Trivial Things That Amuse You", however, I am NOT amused today. :blankstare:

So, this guy at work sees my bumper magnet today that reads, "meh" and came in and asked me what it meant.

So, I told/showed him. I mean, it's pretty simple, right?

:eh?:

 :meh:

:slow:

So... I print out the Urban Dictionary's definitions of "meh" and give it to him.

Rather than just read the definitions and either say, "oh, okay" or say nothing at all.. nooooooo.... after he reads that it came from something called the "Urban" Dictionary, he gets obnoxious, uptight and loud and says..

:loud:

(This, after just having proclaimed to someone that he's "not as stupid as he looks" :stwitch:)

Me :rarrow: :blankstare: and walk away

Him :rarrow: :dumb:

I mean.. really?
