She knows it's not but gets talked into taking him home 'on probation' just in case she is wrong.
I have no intention of actually seeing this movie, but how would she not know for sure? Was the kid taken as an infant and she only got "him" back years later or something?
When I saw the trailer for that in the theater, I commented, "Oh, come on, you got a kid back, they're all pretty much the same," apparently (and unintentionally) loudly enough for everyone in a fairly large radius around me to hear it. I guess good for me that people laughed, and there were no militant...er...whatevers, in the audience.
Well, it was an age when people were easily intimidated by authority. I didn't find it all that hard to believe that she could be made to doubt her own better judgment for a while.
I saw Bolt in Disney Digital 3D yesterday. The story was cute, typical Disney adventure story. It was just phenomenal to look at, though. And there were some really good action sequences. Fully Awesome!
I saw it at El Capitan, so there was a live song-and-dance stage show before hand. It was a Mickey and Minnie Christmas thing, but it had Goofy Santa instead of Real Santa, so I was a little bit disappointed. But mom reminded me we'll see Real Santa at Disneyland on Wednesday, so I'll be okay.
I watched ABC's broadcast of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I have to say I'm a little disappointed. Usually when Tim Burton and Johnny Depp get together it's something special or interesting or dark and gothy.
Charlie was none of that. I could definitely see the influence of Burton but he wasn't working with his element. He was playing from someone else's script instead of possessing it and making it his own utterly and without apology.
That's not saying that everyone did a bad job because that's not the case. It was well made and all (well, most) of the acting was good. It's just a case of the fantastic not being fantastical enough, I reckon.
Yes, sure, most of you have seen it before - and I stayed away from it because of the reviews I'd been reading. Now having seen it with my own eyes I know what you mean.
I caught part of that last night and i did not care for it at all. Depp/Willie was just too creepy for me and even thought the special effects seemed to be be well done, I thought they were way over the top.
I did kind of like the Oompa-Loompa(s), though. Clever.
I also found out that my husband have never seen the original movie.
