I Want Crab Cakes
People keep eating them on the teevee and making me want some and I can't wait any longer. Does anybody have a recipe for killer crab cakes to share?

When I was in college I worked in a restaurant as a dishwasher and I always made friends with the chief, and I got some really good things to eat. Except when the owner came back to fill in as the cook, that bastard would rather throw good food in the trash than give it to someone. One of the menu items was prime rib and they would cut the meat off the ribs, and the ribs with a lot of meat was left standing. I used to be able to get those ribs to take home, heat up and have some good eating. Except when the owner was there, he would cut the ribs off and throw them in the trash, he was a real jerk. One of the other items was broiled crab meat, that I'm sure was real and not imitation.
One day I walked in and the lunch crew of dishwashers left a bench full of dirty dishes for me to clean up and I was on by myself as opposed to 3 on the lunch crew. The station was supposed to be cleared when I came in but for some reason they just left and didn't finish. It sort of pissed me off because I was running behind all night, so when it came to the normal quitting time, I left with the station full of dirty dishes, just like it was when I came in. I understand that the owner had to come back and clear it up, poetic justice.
