Re: What's for Dinner?
Sluggo and I had spaghetti with some leftover marinara with eggplant, which was REALLY REALLY GOOD, and then we had apples and gorgonzola. Also really good.
Both Maturin and the Little Muffin, however, opted to put some diet margarine or whatever on their spaghetti instead, and then eat some box of old used donuts and stuff that we got for $2.

Re: What's for Dinner?
Chicken kebab with hummus and grilled veggies and a Turkish salad, from a local Turkish restaurant. Came with rice and pita bread that I didn't eat. For dessert: "oatmeal" made of flaxseed and almond meal, flavored with unsweetened cocoa, cinnamon, and stevia. Glass of red wine.

Re: What's for Dinner?
What's stevia? Your dinner sounds excellent and reminds me of many an evening back in my days when my extended family was Arab. Hummus, grilled veggies and meat! Yum!
Last night, I made a shrimp dish that was mostly garlic and jalapenos and shrimp. Butter, parmesan cheese and bacon, too. But pretty much it was tons of jalapenos, garlic and shrimp cooked in butter. I had intended to stuff the shrimp with cheese, jalapeno and wrap with bacon, but my shrimp were shrimps -- too small to stuff.

Re: What's for Dinner?
Stevia is a natural no-calorie sweetener. I think it comes from plants or somesuch. Or is it lo-calorie? Anyway, it's a sugar substitute that won't give you the cancer or diarhea, presumably.

Re: What's for Dinner?
I had a cheeseburger on loaf bread, while baking my acorn squash halves in the oven. Once they were done, I had no idea what to do with them. So, thanks to Google, I scooped out the innards and added butter + brown sugar to make a quick & tasty dessert.

Re: What's for Dinner?
It's a Czech bread. My mom's very old recipe uses potato water and she usually puts a baked potato in the dough also. It ends up being this slightly sweet roll sprinkled with poppy seeds and they are absolutely delicious.
The husband could never pronounce it correctly so he just refers to it as that "curvy Czech bread".
