Re: Miscellany
I don't even know what the Lewis and Clark is. I declare that to be an imposter to the greater bort legacy. Unless that is one of House Bort's borts where all our sons are also named bort.

Re: Miscellany
Maester: What is the sigil of House Bort?
Crumb: A pibble rampant.
Maester: And what are the words of House Bort?
Crumb: Umm ... "All our sons..." no, "I couldst teach thou but I must levy a fee"
Maester: And to which great house does House Bort sweat fealty?
Crumb: House Pea? House Drusus? Truly, Maester, I know not.

Re: Miscellany
I just lost a lot of data. Had a 2TB drive just up and die on me. One moment everything is seemingly fine and then it simply disappeared. Nothing could see it. I'm guessing that something on the PCB crapped out as it wouldn't even spin up. The not so bad news is that not all was lost. But what was lost felt p important.
I was able to salvage about 40ish percent. Amongst the now forgotten was a bunch of silly City of Heroes stuff. That constitutes the bulk of what I'm going to miss. That stuff was all nostalgia, history of screenshots and demo files that I would breeze through sometimes. Also lost to the depths was a bunch of document files, resumes and ebooks. Some of which I may have some version of online or may be able to redownload, I dunno.
Also also lost forever was a bunch of shoop work (plus many various images). I thought that my vector versions of lolhog were unceremoniously disappeared. Fortunately, MacBro had some copies/originals of some of my Emporium work.

I did not know until today that Alf's name was actually an acronym for Alien Life Form.

Re: Miscellany
In other miscellany, this movie that will be in theaters from next wednesday is based on one of my favorite comics, Valerian, which was Ravian in Dutch for some reason.
Time/space agent. I watched the trailer and the time/space ship looked exactly like the one in the books, so that's good.

That was beautiful. I dunno if it's a legit exchange or written for humorous purposes, but I still find it awesome.

Rats, they have friends and they are loyal.

WITH A FEW liberating swipes of their paws, a group of research rats freed trapped labmates and raised anew the possibility that empathy isn’t unique to humans and a few extra-smart animals, but is widespread in the animal world.
