Maybe if he hadn't been so ashamed of wanting some cock, he would've defended himself since that's really quite a silly thing to be arrested for. But that would've required it coming out in the open. Which it did anyway. So I guess he was just screwed. Unfortunately for him, not by the officer in question.
If one person hitting on another person in a public place is a crime, then every singles bar in the country on a Friday night is a hot spot of unforgivable crimes. It is America's stunning prudery that just the thought of having, the desire to have, (gay) sex has been criminalized, so that this man was blackballed, ostracized and forced to resign. [...]
On the other hand, Sen. David Vitter's name showed up in the phone records of the "D.C. Madam," accused of running a prostitution ring in the U.S. capital. The good senator even admitted that he was guilty of "a serious sin in [his] past." From that we might assume that unlike Craig, Vitter (R-La.) actually had sex and, unlike Craig again, paid for it.
Yet Vitter remains a senator. He was not forced off all his committees, though his Web site claimed he was committed to "advancing mainstream conservative principles." He asked that the matter be kept between "God and [his] family." It seems that everyone obliged.

Yeah, but Craig wasn't "forced off" of anything, he resigned. Presumably in disgrace, because he was such a fucking prude about gayness in the first place. It's not America's stunning prudery, it's his own. And his crime is not having sex, or paying for sex, or picking up dudes in bathrooms. His crime is outrageous hipocracy.
"Today was a major step in the legal effort to clear my name," Craig said in a statement. "The court has not issued a ruling on my motion to withdraw my guilty plea. For now, I will continue my work in the U.S. Senate for Idaho."
Wow, no way. So he's going to wait for the judge's ruling after September 30? And then I read a story today suggesting he could appeal if the judge ruled against him.
“Because the defendant’s plea was accurate, voluntary and intelligent, and because the conviction is supported by the evidence ... the defendant’s motion to withdraw his guilty plea is denied,” Hennepin County Judge Charles Porter wrote.
But Larry's determined to stay in office. Go Larry!
In fact, run for President as a Republican! How much worse than the other candidates could you possibly be?
"[C]ourts are not disposed to encourage accused persons to 'play games' with the courts ... In his oral presentation, Defendant's counsel ... wisely conceded this point."
Joey DiFatta is the chairman of St. Bernard Parish Council and a prominent Republican leader (until 2004 on the GOP state party Executive Committee). He just withdrew from his state senate race, after his arrests for lewd behavior in a public restroom were made public.
The police report contains an account of how Curtis allegedly donned women's clothing, red stockings and a black sequined lingerie top before engaging in a sex act at the [adult video] store. He then continued to wear them throughout the night under his clothing, the report says.
