See how the word science has been perverted?

You have been indoctrinated that things that happen are science, instead of understanding that science is nothing but a process of learning.

In your world science is the creator. The sun rises = science did it!!

In a change from the usual science schlock of un-peer reviewed stuff, here's an actual FDA approval:

Alien search detects radio signals from dwarf galaxy 3bn light years from Earth | Science | The Guardian

Source: Is this ET? Mystery of strange radio bursts from space | New Scientist

Quote:
Telescopes have been picking up so-called fast radio bursts (FRBs) since 2001. They last just a few milliseconds and erupt with about as much energy as the sun releases in a month.
Therefore aliens.

Quote:
No one knows what causes them, but the brevity of the bursts means their source has to be small – hundreds of kilometres across at most – so they can’t be from ordinary stars.
Therefore aliens.

Quote:
The weird part is that they all fit a pattern that doesn’t match what we know about cosmic physics.
Therefore aliens.

So here I am in a health seminar and according to the guy next to me who alluded to government watching us too much, 102cm is 37 inches, not 40, and that it's my "metric calculator" is wrong. Since it was the Google thing I used I'm now on a watch list.

Basic math is a government conspiracy. Apparently.

Wait a minute, one meter is 39.37 inches so 102 cm would be a little over 39.37 inches, about 40 inches, not less than 39 inches. That Bozo obviously thought a meter equaled 36 inches or one yard which would put 102 CM as about 37 inches.

Ordinarily I'd have just written it off as that, confusing a yard with a meter. But this guy has expressed stuff that sounded like they were right off an anti-vax government conspiracy website more than once in the seminar.

Funny thing, he was usually pretty quiet, but after I challenged the measurement conversion he wouldn't shut up and had the extremely diplomatic dietician stopping and staring incredulously, then gently correcting misinformation all the rest of the night as buddy was getting more and more agitated.

Extra conspiracy, a modern inch is defined by the metric system. So amusingly all rulers are calibrated by comparing them to a standard meter. An inch isn't just around 2.54cm it's 2.54cm exactly.

Today I learned about vivipary in tomatoes.

But did not eat them. Because I'm not sticking nightshade down my cake hole.

For a long time people thought tomatoes were poisonous because the plant itself is poisonous. But then people discovered that the fruit was edible even though the plant was not.

But more seriously, the few bits of sprout I did get in my liuth gave me the worst tongue itch and was likely responsible for a moderate sinus headache.

Potato is same family. But it's not safe to eat potato fruits. Tomato plants don't normally produce tubers of significant size but if they did I don't know whether it would be safe to eat them.

The Great Nutrient Collapse: The great nutrient collapse

Essentially, as carbon dioxide levels rise in the atmosphere, plants pack more carbohydrates into their tissues. Doing so however means they store less vitamins, protein, and minerals.
