Another joke about to be retired:

Theresa May to resign as prime minister - BBC News

"It's nearly the end of May" is now the joke of the month. She's staying in office until 7 June simply to avoid this. And apparently holding on to cover the official state visit of President* Dump (3-5 June). (Trump 'oblivious' to Brexit chaos, focussed on Queen's banquet, report - Business Insider)

There, now I have violently dissected the joke and killed it.

Good points; if you won't harm animals, or by your actions allow animals to be harmed, yet you are happy to harm humans, are you *really* vegan?

The fanatics are sorry but they are not taking questions at this time. Or ever.

I just had a thought. Totally not because my Visio diagram just exploded to 30 sheets of paper because I moved one process icon.

Theresa May has announced she doesn't want the throne. In another parallel, maybe during the state visit she could pull the Mad President, the Unashamed, Breaker of Democracy, etc, close, give him a big kiss, and slip a knife into his heart?

Today in British politics - which doesn't need another thread, there is nothing else going on - the Tory party leadership battle has moved to its next stage. Following Theresa May's resignation (effective last Friday) given her inability to "deliver Brexit" (Brexit means Brexit, deliver means deliver), ten more vaguely-dislikable people have been accepted as candidates for the next person to be unable to deliver Brexit.

It's all too boring for words, but I suppose it's traditional to include a link.

Because we live in the Darkest Timeline, I suppose it's too much to hope that the most embarrassing candidate doesn't end up the next Prime Minister, right?

Oh, god. It's probably only a matter of weeks until we're all forced to say PM B***s J*****n, isn't it?

I can't imagine why I'm thinking this, but if you're heavily invested in the stock market right now, this might be a good time to get out. I can't promise it's definitely the right time, but we're due for a recession in the next year or two anyway.

The Brexit busses have been hilarious, I mean who gets their political facts from the side of a... hold on, the Twitter alert system says our president has a factual statement he would like to get out to the nation about this war idea so many valid accounts have been tweeting him about...
Ok, nevermind.

I do like how these busses went from claiming the millions in pounds the UK will save and apply to healthcare, to “Well... you will still have drinking water...” I can’t wait, in a few more years it will just be tips on how to extend your single boiled potato ration and on the other side how everyone should feel grateful as EU taxes would have taken half of your potato!

I mean, that's a parody photoshop.

But it is still funny that the Brexiteers went from claiming they'd be spending millions and millions more on the NHS and things like that to "What's the big deal? We'll still have drinking water even if we can't get bananas and oranges."

Say what you will about Johnson, but as demonstrated back in 2015 when he was mayor of London, the guy is basically Andres Segovia, Jeff Beck, Chet Atkins and Robert Fripp all rolled into one when it comes to the guitar.
