That's Jeebus knocking at your heart wanting you "to let him in" LadyShea. I hope you were polite to Jeebus when he was talking to you in tounges. :D

and here...you might need this.... :foilhat:

It works against fundy posters, demons, Jeebus, and angels as well! :D

If he gets enough of the prayer in, he might manage to save you before you hang up. You're going to Heaven whether you like it or not.

If you got a number on your caller ID, you can see if you can look it up on http://whocalled.us/

That's worked for me most of the times I've gotten a weird call.

I don't seem to have Caller-ID, at least if I do it doesn't work.

As I said, I don't use the number exceptin' for work.

I'm curious if this a new fad or something, calling random numbers and speed-praying?

I think he had to change it after Paris Hilton's cell phone was hacked.

LS, I've never heard of anyone doing that before, but once I thought about it, I was a little surprised I hadn't. It seems like something crazy people would do--like a push prayer line or something.

Could one of your clients have set you up, maybe? Or someone playing a joke through one of them there CID spoofing services or something, just to mess with you?

I got a summons for jury duty today. :mutter:

Then I read the fine print, and I'm disqualified because I'm a convicted felon.

:homer:

I do wish I had another way to earn that $6.00 though. :sadcheer:

I like getting jury duty. You can totally get donuts, you know.

Also, the only time I got picked, we put the screws to the screws. We were all like ATTICA! ATTICA! and shit. And then maybe we also smoked, which made us even cooler. So NOW I bet you're sorry, aren't you?

I am mad today that we get ONE HUNDRED NEW PHONE BOOKS EVERY DAY.

There is also this one place that cats poop all the time, and they totally threw the phone book right on top of that place one time, so we just let it set there for like a week, as a warning to other phone books, but, like, it was all acting like it was going to rain, so I picked it up by a little corner and threw it away finally.

Phonebooks are for losers and old people, plus the magnets on them are always really dumb and sticky. Fuck that noise.

i know what you mean. them sending me one lets me know they do no checking before they send people the summons. i may only take one extra key stroke to see if a person is qualified or not. well,in my case it should

My clients don't know my direct number because my system keeps it secret, they call another number and then the calls are transferred to me all sneaky.

This is technically my home phone and it was a direct call. Now, I am in Alabama, so maybe the speed praying is some weird prank they do down here.

Actually I thought maybe people request this kinda stuff, like a prayer chain, and the guy called the wrong number 'cuz I think I heard him say "Lord lift into your embrace" or some shit. That would be funny, if he was praying by request because I just hung up on him.

I was at a flea market and I saw these Jim Daly prints of scenes from Tom Sawyer and I ask my mom where I knew them from because I know, for a fact, that those prints hung in some relative's house for years and years. She recognized them as well, but didn't remember where from because her mind is going. So I bought em anyway and put them out on my screened porch 'cuz there is nostalgia there even though I don't know what the hell I am nostalgic for.

So my brother comes over and sees them and also recognizes them and asks if grandma gave them to me...I said "Was it grandma's house they were in?" he thought so but wasn't sure. I asked my Grandma and she says no she never had them. Then I ask my Grandpa (other side) and he doesn't remember them either.

Who's damn house were they in?

It's a dirty job.

Anyways, did everyone else know that DHS is investigating Greg Palast for reporting on some Hurricane Katrina camp? Like some kind of huge internment camp thing with barbed wire and shit behind an Exxon plant?

Have I just not been paying attention for a while?

One of my fellow contractors here is in big trouble. He was over two hours late on Saturday. Poor fellow. At least it takes the heat of my other fellow contractor who was only 30 mins late.

It's funny, I've never known anyone to be late before and this time it was two on the same day.

One of the LM's coworkers got disappeared on his way to work last night. He called in to say he got pulled over, then never showed up. I am making theremin sounds!

Also, I have been seriously considering getting a fancy video card for no other reason than I kind of want transparent windows but they slow me down too much.

It would be the stupidest thing in the universe if I got a new video card just so I could have transparent windows. But I might do it anyway. You never know.

Transparent windows slow you down? Shit. I wanted them too. I even have windows blinds all downloaded and ready to install when I have time to get good and pissed off if things go all wonky. That's what happens when you get old, you learn not to step into the possible shit pile untill you have your boots on and time to muck about.

Ack, is there some way to disable just one key on the keyboard? Every now and then, I hit that stupid windows key all weird and the computer hibernates or reboots. It just did it to me, and I almost pulled the damned key off, but then I though I'd ask y'all.

I wanna get a drive by phone prayer. Just so I can say fuck over and over to them. I need a good laugh.

Well, I ain't no fancypants like you. My whole computer cost, like, less than $300, all told, and I only have the onboard video.

It will prolly work fine for you.

Can you just remap it to nothing?

Alternately, you could get one without a Windows key. I like me some clacky-assed keyboards, so I recommend an AT or a Model M. They make me sound more important, like some old-timey newscast or whatever.

Edit because I remembered that I done took a picture of my transparent windows the other day and put it on the tarwebs. I made the active window opaque, because I am too old for always-on X-ray vision.
