Default Teen thrash metal ... in Māori

They are teens, so it's kind of funny to start with.
And they are kiwis. The video has subtitles for English speakers who can't understand the Kiwi accent (uh ... Americans?), so it's definitely funny.
And they are playing thrash-style heavy metal with lyrics in te reo Māori.

This is a documentary not a music video. Deep Māori culture background from around 12:00.

Anyway, once I've mastered Finnish maybe I'll learn Māori.

First you learn Maori, next you'll be trying to open your Christmas gifts 12 hours early.

I didn't have a problem with the accent, but I still thank the subtitles for clarifying that the one kid's parents described him as "very aural."

Was that the kid who listened to the floor?

Off topic, but just to say that Youtube suggestions sometimes aren't bad at all:

So...This leads me to ask if you've heard the folk fusion of Tuva throat singing and Latvian bagpipes? As with
"Mongolatvian....It's a genre now."
