Re: BABBY BABBY BABBY BABBY
And I totally hear you all about the pets' noise. One of our cats snores/wheezes, and I actually had to kick her at the foot of the bed the other night so she would stop. She is also the cat who will sit on the pillow by your ear and purr for no apparent reason other than she loves you. at least when the other cat does that, it means she is out of food.
Thankfully, it has finally gotten cold enough that the wheezy one will crawl under the covers and sleep all night.

No. Not pregnant anymore? Awesome. If only we could have immortalized it in some way.

Re: BABBY BABBY BABBY BABBY
We have returned from our trip back to see family. Froguar and I did fine, except for mommy getting dehydrated on the last day and having chills all the way back on the plane and needing wheelchair assistance to get to baggage claim. Much better today.
I have to say that the flight attendants and fellow passengers were super nice and went out of their way to make me feel like froguar would be no truoble at all. And for the most part, he slept or was quiet
Still, i'm not sure i would do it again on my own any time soon. I'm exhausted.

Re: BABBY BABBY BABBY BABBY
The froguar is six months old today. I want to thank everyone who encouraged me during our difficult start to breastfeeding. Many thanks to all you parents and other non-ignorant-about-babby people who never brought up that babby would not suddenly be eating three full meals of solid foods the day after he turned 6 months, and that therefore baby would be nursing a lot after that magic date. I might have just given up and gone to find a ditch to live in early on. Luckily that awareness arose after we were doing much better.
I will say that nursing a baby has been the hardest thing I have ever learned how to do in my life--and I haven't even had mastitis or much nipple problems. It is really hard to do without a lot of help: a supportive community, time, people with experience to give you hands on help, pure determination/mulish temperment, etc. Few people mention those things, instead focusing on "breast is best" and "if it is done right, it doesn't hurt." which leads to major guilt when moms have trouble or even have to stop without realizing that they've been set up to fail. And, ime, moms are set up to fail when it comes to breastfeeding in the US.
So I really appreciate you all being part of my supportive community. I couldn't have done this without you.

They set moms up to fail in so many contexts. I am glad you stuck it out and that it has gotten better, keep that mule firmly planted though...you'll continue to need it.

The froguar is a year old today. He also decided to start walking for reals today. The grandparents are all very excited.

Yeah, poor hypothetical kid. First a hand-me-down thread, then hand-me-down clothes, a hand-me-down bike and hand-me-down toys
