Bugs really ought to know better by now.
An unknown insect chose eye level on the inside of my screen door to lay its eggs. They really ought to know better.
I only took 2 eggs to start. I did a couple of things with these eggs. This is a focus-stacked photo of them, the best of my images so far.
Right now, these 2 eggs are sitting in my toy digital microscope, so I can try to time-lapse any development. The only problem I see is that I have no idea how long the incubation period is, and I'm taking a picture 1/hour. It might be a very long time lapse video of nothing.

How do you know that the eye-level patch of only a few eggs isn't merely a distraction, to prevent you from noticing the seething mass of thousands of eggs that have been deposited at knee level?

*sigh*
I'm always having to explain these things to you, fix your photos, put tags on the items.
Like this one here: clearly you had the photo orientation wrong. These are bugs walking on your screen, right? So obviously from their perspective, it looks like this:
Can't you recognize an invitation when you see it? The bugs are just waiting on you to break:
Of course, if you're not interested in playing against insects, there's always dogs:

Re: Bugs really ought to know better by now.
I gave up on my time-lapse video last night - and last night the eggs hatched.

Bugs? I'll take it from here, Slick.
