Re: Brexit EU referendum polling stations.
Yup.
One of the headlines I saw was "Brexit in chaos" but let's face it, Brexit has always been chaos. British democracy has been in chaos the whole time. This is just a long-awaited plot development.
The writers are really ramping things up for the Christmas special.
And don't think it will be over after the season finale on 29 March 2019 - it's already clear this show can't be cancelled.

Top comment: “They should send Andy into the parliament tomorrow. I don’t think anyone would notice.”

No-deal Brexit ferry contract sparks concerns - BBC News
Quote:
The firm has never run a ferry service
|
and doesn't have actual ships yet
Quote:
The narrow berths for ships at the Port of Ramsgate mean there are only a few suitable commercial vessels, most of which are currently already in service
|
Analysis
Quote:
But it appears that Transport Secretary Chris Grayling's department only started awarding contracts to shipping firms a few weeks ago, with no time left, it says, for a full public tender process.
And while the two large international firms enlisted to provide extra capacity have existing fleets and large operations, Seaborne does not, and has given few details on how it will get a service up and running in a matter of months.
The Department for Transport also wasn't too keen on making much noise about these plans - it quietly posted notices of the awards on an EU portal on Christmas Eve, and the BBC was only alerted to them by a data firm, Tussell.
And it's worth noting that without the award to Seaborne, the government would be in a position where the two beneficiaries of a no-deal Brexit were a Danish and a French firm - based, of course, in the EU.

Re: Brexit EU referendum polling stations.
Also - Tory MP Ralph Lucas was recently made a Director.
- Anthony Bamford brother of Tory donor and Pro-Brexiteer Lord Bamford is one of the names behind the company.
However, as Grayling is in charge, it's guaranteed to be 100% successful and value for money - like all the other projects under his leadership (not).

In an alternative Britain where Brexit talks have collapsed, an extreme far-right government has taken power. Citizens of European heritage have been rounded up and exiled. Forced out of your previous life, you find yourself in the midst of a booming gig economy, fighting to scrape by and return to the city you call home.

Re: Brexit EU referendum polling stations.
Thought the first - this is another person or group making money off of Brexit - probably eurosceptics.
Thought the second - from the reviews -
Quote:
But because of the ending(s) (I tried a couple differnet things to see what would happen) I cannot recommend it. I feel like I invested too much into the story and the gameplay only to bne completely let down and unrewarded.
|
Sounds like Brexit.
Quote:
I get that that's kinda the point od a dystopic game but I feel like I just wasted hours of my life and why should I recommend that to anyone else?
|
Sounds like Brexit.
Quote:
On another note the game is quite repetitive, in a grindy way.
|
Sounds like the last 2.5 years in British politics.
Quote:
You effectively play the same levels a few times which just feels kind of like the developers spacing out the game for the hell of it. I could deal with this if I felt like the story ever amounted to something interesting

Sounds like, you get the idea
