Do we really want to be like those other countries? Yeah, I thought not.
i tell you waht has kept the US from becoming like those other countrys; is the "spinless, political posturing, spouters of any idealogy just to get your vote" politicians.
American politicaians are bought,
People like Kim ilkim Yung, Arashundermyarm, Mama la-Gaddafi, Fidel Castro, are men of cojones. They do wat they said they'd do.
Consequently because of our "sell them selve to the highest bidder" politician this country will never be like those countries. They are not honest men.

In the letter, Pierce wrote to Villaraigosa that if L.A. is serious about the boycott, he would be "happy to encourage Arizona utilities to renegotiate your power agreements so Los Angeles no longer receives any power from Arizona-based generation."
Enter this other guy, Austin Beutner, who is General Manager of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. I imagine that is a pretty enormous job and I was surprised at how much ass his reply kicked. This is it, in its entirety:
Quote:
"I want to make clear that we support the City position regarding the recent law enacted in Arizona and the resolution adopted by the Los Angeles City Council.
On any given day, we receive 20 – 25% of our power from two power plants located in Arizona: Navajo, a coal-fired plant, and Palo Verde, a nuclear plant.
We are part owner of both power plants, which are generating assets of the Department. As such, nothing in the City’s resolution is inconsistent with our continuing to receive power from those LADWP-owned assets.
I might add that, as the City’s Job Czar, I certainly would welcome any conventions or meetings that were going to be held in Arizona to come to Los Angeles. We have fantastic facilities and incomparable weather and we’d welcome them to the City of Angels."
A. A SCHOOL DISTRICT OR CHARTER SCHOOL IN THIS STATE SHALL NOT INCLUDE
10 IN ITS PROGRAM OF INSTRUCTION ANY COURSES OR CLASSES THAT INCLUDE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
1. PROMOTE THE OVERTHROW OF THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT.
2. PROMOTE RESENTMENT TOWARD A RACE OR CLASS OF PEOPLE.
3. ARE DESIGNED PRIMARILY FOR PUPILS OF A PARTICULAR ETHNIC GROUP.
4. ADVOCATE ETHNIC SOLIDARITY INSTEAD OF THE TREATMENT OF PUPILS AS
16 INDIVIDUALS.
Ironically, the teabagger mentality has prevented them from crafting a law that actually bans ethnic studies classes. They have this set of prejudices about ethnic studies that they think they've addressed in this law, but one could maintain these classes and point out that they were never intended for students of just one ethnicity and that anyone can take them, that they do not "promote resentment" but instead emphasize subjects which are sometimes left out of conventional history/lit courses, and so on.
Besides, if we're nixing classes that "promote resentment", does that include any class a student happens to resent being in?
I'd also like to know which public or charter school classes actually promote the overthrow of the U.S. government. I must have missed the Ernesto Guevara High School nestled somewhere in Arizona, teaching all those Latino/a kids to hate whitey and overthrow the capitalist order.
They've also managed to craft a law that will set them up to have the textbooks they're already using challenged.
I don't think I've ever seen a history textbook used in the schools that wasn't pretty heavily Eurocentric.
Non-Europeans were mostly interesting in making stuff out of ground up corn, not history like those Eurocentric history-making dudes and their subservient wives.
One could argue that Eurocentric history classes promote resentment towards white people, because you can be sure that most of the non-white people in the class know that they're being taught bullshit.
I asked an old acquiantence; whom had been changing ideas from being catholic, to being presbyterian, to being a witness; That he still was searching and what is he now.
His response- Right now I am nothing.
He got it but did not know he got it.
We are nothing ;we can imagine , day dream, fanatzise, play act, or be dillusional and erroneously attach an identifier.

The Colorado Democratic Party had its state assembly on Saturday. At the end of a longassed day, we considered the proposed state party platform. Included in that mess was separate plank that, because of its recent creation, needed a 2/3 vote of the delegates in order to pass. The plank (1) condemns Arizona S.B. 1070, (2) recognizes that "reasonable suspicion" invites racial profiling, (3) calls for a constitutional challenge to the bill, and (4) urges the Attorney General to send additional personnel to Arizona to safeguard individual rights while the constitutional challenge proceeds.
Trying to squeeze even a simple majority out of Colorado Dems on anything immigration related is notoriously difficult. The above-described plank passed on a goddamn voice vote.
Colorado Republicans held their state assembly on the same day. Our GOP brethren exploded in thunderous applause when proven liar, shameless political hack and all-around bunghole Rep. Mike Coffman said:
Quote:
“The people of Arizona have had enough of illegal immigration, they’ve had enough of a federal government that will not secure our borders. I can tell you this: My wife and I are planning a vacation in the State of Arizona. The boycott is wrong and we need to stand with the people of Arizona for secure borders.” Coffman received long loud applause.
Personally, I hope Coffman and his wife do exactly that. It's pretty much impossible to be a conservative politician and avoid getting photographed with at least one real live Nazi while in Arizona.

Mexicans for the most part are -conservative, if that is the term to describe a mindset that that is fearful. Changes scare it and it battles for status quo.
Conservativism has always been on the wrong side of history.
The settlers that protested the king were not conservatives, Those that fought to keep slavery were conservatives, womens vote was wrested from conservatives, conservatives feared school integration, conservatives back the draft that isif it is other children being conscripted, etc., etc..

lol stfu socialist, "Eurocentric" is just a multiculturalist slur against people who love America.
So Chuck,
()
I was looking for some Amero concept art in fear of this Nazi Socialist version of America we're living in today and came across this very exciting picture:
One could argue that Eurocentric history classes promote resentment towards white people, because you can be sure that most of the non-white people in the class know that they're being taught bullshit.
In my last day of World History class my Republican Gulf War Hero teacher explained very clearly to the single black girl in attendance that she could not hold slavery against the Founding Fathers as it was totally acceptable at the time and that she should pretty much stfu and love her country's history.
Pretty much summed up my whole experience with that guy.
The crisis is a crisis of consciousness. The limited understanding of what "man" is has created societies on those miscomprehensions.
And besides that - any nation, governement, tribe, club, etc.; by the definition of that entity, is a socialistic entity. So just what is socialist and what is not?
I say naturally we alll are socialistic. Socialistic with a brutal animal fearful consciousness.
