Question Dodgem sign-up and peanut gallery

Anyone fancy trying a game of Dodgem?

This is a deceptively simple game - one player plays the right arrow pieces :rarrow: on each move this player can move one of the pieces right, up or down, but never left.

The other player plays the up arrow pieces :^: on each move this player can move one of the pieces up left or right, but never down.

The start position looks like this:

Dodgem
:rarrow:
:rarrow:
:rarrow:
:^::^::^:

The :rarrow: pieces can exit the board at the right hand side - similarly the :^: pieces can exit at the top.

The winner is the first player who is unable to make a move, so you win by getting all your pieces across (and off) the board, or if your opponent makes a move that results in all your pieces being blocked.

With a 3x3 grid, the game is already more complex than you might at first imagine, but we can always go up to a 4x4 or 5x5 etc. if we become expert.

I'd be willing to give the game a shot. The worst I can do is lose badly.

I'll play a game when you are done or when someone else shows up.

Okay I'll start a game thread. I've never played before either, so we start off with equal experience! :)

You can go first if you wish MonCap, and you can choose whether you want to play the :rarrow: or :^: pieces.
