1964 Studebaker Avanti
This was the last one built by Studebaker.
I want it.

Re: The Car Of The Day (For My Amusement.)
That Studebaker Avanti has similar lines to one of my favourites: the Jenson Interceptor.
For those of you who've not heard of it, the Jenson was a British GT car built in West Bromwich in the 60s. For power it used a seven litre Chrysler engine (440 in USA parlance). The top of the range model, the FF (pictured) was the first GT car ever to have permanent four wheel drive and anti lock brakes - years ahead of Audi or anyone else. In FF SP form (SP stood for the 6-pack carburettors) it made 385 bhp.
It was really much too thirsty for 70s Britain (remember gas here cost about seven times as much as in the USA) and the main production stopped in 1976, though one-offs are still being built to this day.

Re: The Car Of The Day (For My Amusement.)
When I think 'car' and 'amusement', and I don't want to have to worry about signalling, I think 'BMW'.
In this case, the Isetta:
But then, that's a reworked classic of the model. This is a more recent O2:
They seem to have lost the quaint wicker basket on the back....

The most evil race car ever built, the Double A Fuel Altered(AA/FA). This is the most famous one driven by Willie Borsch.

I wonder if that's still in the studio of the "new" Top Gear. That episode made me want to buy a Hilux.

Yeah, I know. And it was three episodes. They just kept on abusing it and it picked itself up, dusted itself off (with help of a mechanic) and drove away.
Chaining it to an ocean quay while the tide rolled in and waiting until the tide rolled out that impressed me the most...It had been tumbled across and off the quay. Under saltwater.
I now refer to the Toy HiLux as "Choice of the Afghan Warlords".

Toyota HiLuxes are tough little sumbitches. I know, I've owned three of them.

According to Fake News, you can pre-order this one, $400k for the base model, $600k for the fancy-pants model.
