Pity me or congratulate me. I just got hired as a waitress at the Red Lobster. While I'm really embarassed about that, I am SO proud to be a working member of society again!

Oh, I wasn't going to tell you this, but it was so funny I changed my mind.

Before I went in for my interview we were at Walmart shopping for Thanksgiving stuffs. I was wearing blue jeans, which I planned on changing once we got home. But the store was so full and it took so long to get out of there that I didn't have much time to get ready when we got back. I started to change into dress pants but changed my mind because I was afraid I was going to be late. So, I kept the jeans on and left.

The interview went great. I felt like I really clicked with the management. They hired me, gave me a return date, and I went home.

I decided to change into some shorts because I was hot from running around. But when I went to remove my jeans, I realized that the zipper was down. It had been like that since I left for my interview.

I couldn't move for about a minute. Did anyone see it? Do I remember anyone looking at me funny? Was I sitting in a position that would compromise my...um...privacy?

No matter the case, I'm going back on Monday. This time I'll remember to zip up.

I imagine most people here have much more interesting occupations. There's nothing wrong with waitressing. I rather enjoy it. But, it's not what I thought I'd be doing. :shrug:

Hey, congrats!

I hear that working the restaurant trade can be lucrative, if you're in the right place. I don't know if Red Lobster is the right place, but it's a start.

Hey no worries, it's certainly not mandatory. It's just a way to give people a handy way to catch up on everyone's life news if they don't get a chance to read every thread. You could even just post a link to this thread in that one if you want, or ignore it altogether. Just letting you know it's there.

Red Lobster can rack up the bucks in drinks and food, so hopefully the tips will be high! I hope the waitstaff get to eat all the cheesy biscuits they want and can relax with one of their superb Top Shelf Long Island Iced Teas. :waiter:

Oh god sea food and cheesy biscuits? I did not know they had those!....The closest I've ever been to a Red lobster is watching commercials from US stations

Recipe for Cheese Biscuits. I think these would be comparable to R.L.'s biscuits. At least, this is how I make mine. Good stuff!!
