in my defence, back in the day when
420 came several times a day, i was
totally engrossed in the hopi culture
(an amazing anthropology prof and
several field trips) and kinda zoned into
the mythology, esp of the story of the
spider grandmother... Kokyanwuhti
since those daysof the late '70s i have made a practice
of capture and release in the case of spiders...
i cannot recall the last time i killed a spider
