Can I assume right that Jerome ignored me, or ignored the first incident while suggesting blackface isn't racist because the defining feature of black people is that they're black?
Bonus donuts, a woman from Palo Alto on the facebook is arguing that it's all just pure white kids being too innocent, why look here at this completely unsourced poll that shows black people are ok with it anyway so clearly this is just a mistake and not racist in any way. Another suggests we shouldn't use the r-word to talk about these incidents because it hurts r-words feelings and makes them shut down from rational debate about race, as we know all white people are rational about race but easily offended, use kids gloves at all times.

Black students did organize a protest that was supposed to be based on white students and faculty staying home and black (or non-white?) students coming to campus for a single day.
This seems, tactically, like a stupid protest to me. Not least because it can be easily misrepresented as a demand for segregation or the like, which is what right-wing outlets are running with. But generally seems like a bad idea to me even aside from that.

There is a reason pretty much all the racism posted up in this thread is perpetrated by white people. People are racist all over the world. People in other parts of the world mock the shit out of white people. Brown people mock Chinese people and vice versa, etc... So why is it pretty much all white racism the white folks in this thread are posting? Well, it's because of who the victims are...or...maybe why they are?

I hadn't watched the dashboard cam until now. I'm gobsmacked. That cop panicked so quickly, I'm not sure there was anything Philando Castile could have done to avoid being shot.
