Any New Year's Resolutions
I really, really, REALLY want to get back to my goal weight so I'm going to actually follow the plan with Weight Watchers.
And I'm going to exercise. When I was temping I got about 25 minutes of exercise each day from walking from the parking ramp to work, and I don't have that happening now with the new job. (One of my co-workers rides her bike into work in the winter, so she's got me feeling really wussy) I may actually be able to afford a gym membership again!
Anyone else have any resolutions?

Re: Any New Year's Resolutions
I have been meaning to do this for years, so I'm finally making it a resolution. I'm going to stop treating massage as a luxury and start treating it as part of my health care. I want to go every month or at least every other month. Let's see if it happens.

Re: Any New Year's Resolutions
I don't have any specific resolutions per se, but bey and I did sign up for an eight-week "challenge" at our boot camp class that begins on Saturday. The package includes unlimited boot camp, weekend group runs, and access to some kind of nutrition web site. There are weekly and overall prizes for things like pounds or inches lost, class attendance, food journaling, etc. I plan to abstain from alcohol during the challenge, with the possible exception of bey's birthday.
I'm hoping to get all muscle-bound again.

Re: Any New Year's Resolutions
I resolve to be true to my school.
I resolve to be nobody's fool.
I resolve to be less old school.
I resolve to be more cool.
I resolve not to be a tool.
I resolve to use the pool.
I resolve to try not to drool.
I resolve to not use a slide rule.
I resolve to spend more time on the piano stool.
Gotta have a theme, a rhyming scheme or meme.

I finally have a bike my size. I'm gonna ride it this year.
Yeah, that's about it.

I started doing this last fall and it is amazingly worthwhile. PRO TIP: use the shit out of Groupon and Living Social, especially when they have an additional 10-20% off of local deals. There are tons on there; I usually just scope them out on Google first. It keeps things affordable and you can try out different places if you're looking for a forever massage provider. (Some of them are flaky and never return your call to schedule an appointment, but Groupon will refund into Groupon bucks that you can spend on another one.)
I have avoided the chiropractic practices that offer them. I usually tip extravagantly to make up for the guilt, but still come out ahead.

Re: Any New Year's Resolutions
I lost some (or maybe a lot) of weight last year, plan to lose more this year by doing the same things: eat less and excercise more.

I am going to learn to sew and I am going to overhaul my kitchen and cook more. I am going to spend more time outdoors. We want to set goals as a family and work together on achieving them. I have other things too but don't want to pressure too much.

Re: Any New Year's Resolutions
Besides the normal and eternal loss of about 10 pounds, mine is also to take it easier at work and take more breaks. They are demanding we work more hours these days and I can't work as hard at that pace, in fact I can feel myself turning more postal by the minute.

I have taken your advice and bought two Groupons in the last two days. For once I'm well on my way toward keeping my resolution.

Re: Any New Year's Resolutions
I've lost about 10 pounds without even having any resolutions, or resolve for that matter. I've been ill with some respiratory crud, it's killed my appetite for food and sex, and it's working on killing my appetite for life too.

Re: Any New Year's Resolutions
Maintain roughly my current weight but drop a little more fat and add some muscle by continuing to eat right and go to the gym.
Race in at least 3 Mountain Bike races in 2015. This will of course demand lots of training and riding time.
Some type of obstacle race like Spartan or Tough Mudder
I'm also on MyFitnessPal, got a 113day streak going.
