Re: Miscellany
I thought the English one was very accurate. It's how we see them, constantly threatening to leave the EU (but never actually leaving).

Re: Miscellany
I keep waiting for someone to make a Hitler pastry.
No, hear me out. Other people tried to take over all of Europe and failed and now we have Napoleons, Bismarcks and Kaiser Rolls so why not a Hitler pastry? Personally, I would like to laugh in a neo-Nazi's face and say you follow a flaky pastry.

I don't think it's possible, but for giggles I'd like to see a black and white cupcake become the Hitler.

Re: Miscellany
Napoleon is also a brandy, so you can put Hitler AND Napoleon in your coffee. Napoleon is probably more popular though.

Organic Genderless Gingerbread Figures might be the most politically correct cookies ever
Another example of people will complain about anything. The last comment is my favorite.

What I love is how a single pic from a specialty bakery is evidence of a mass hysteria that's destroying our planet. And who's screeching about people getting too easily offended, again?

These cookies have been called the gender neutral 'gingerbread people' for pretty much ever. There would be no reason to specify 'genderless' except as a form of mild humor.
This is why nobody likes reddit. They can't take a joek.

Re: Miscellany
Because there's not a two minutes of being annoyed by something thrad. (pea, you're annoyed by a lot of things all the time, you should prolly start a thrad about it.)
A new Noodles & Co restaurant opened nearby. We finally had a chance to go visit it. I seen online how their signature dish for a limited time was some Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese. I thought that sounded real good.
You know how making mac & cheese isn't all that difficult but it's probably easy to get wrong? Noodles & Co got it wrong. Even though the dish is called macaroni and cheese, it's not literally macaroni and cheese. At least, it's not supposed to be macaroni noodles and shredded cheese plopped on top. OR HAVE PEOPLE BEEN LYING TO ME MY WHOLE LIFE?
I forgot I was mad about this until today when I got myself some real mac & cheese that was ensauced and also baked LIKE IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE.
And that wasn't all that was wrong with the Noodles & Co meal. But I'm not going to hold not liking the flavors against it. Sometimes when I get something with a buffalo sauce and it's combined with bleu cheese it doesn't combine right for me and makes me a little ill.

Carry on with your incorrect mac and cheese.
Oh wait! I have something to be mad about for two minutes! We stopped in Dahlonega on the way home from riding dirtbikes today. We have a tradition of eating BBQ somewhere during the trip. The place I suggested was just too far out of the way so we asked Google what we should do. Google said go to Smokin' Gold BBQ. It has awards and everything! (Dahlonega's an old gold mining town. Smokin' Gold, geddit?)
Commence public shaming-when we pulled in there was a Big Green Egg smoker out front. Just a babby one. Umm, you don't cook real bbq on that.
SO I order pulled pork, corn casserole, and banana pudding. The pork was WET. Like sitting in its own grease all day wet. That shit wasn't even smoked! Who opens a barbeque restaurant and wins awards and can't even get the basics right! At least the banana pudding was good.
And then we got fudge and garlic infused olive oil (separate things, mind). The end.

What Noodles & Co does to food is a fucking crime against humanity. It manages to offend every single cuisine from which it appropriates it's noodle "dishes".
That's an entire world's history all stolen and converted into bland, generic, artificial, mass produced, corporate franchised shit.
Noodles & Co.
You might as well eat your own ass.

Re: Miscellany
I've been there a few times and had things that I didn't think were terrible (not that mac and cheese, obvs), but I can't imagine going there if you had pretty much any other option.
I'm looking at the menu, and you know how a lot of restaurants have one really bland, inoffensive dish for little kids and really picky midwesterners? It looks like a whole restaurant of just those. You can even get buttered noodles. Like go to a restaurant and order "buttered noodles" as, like, your whole thing.
So what I'm saying here is that I blame the victims.
