Congrats ChuckF, on finishing your thesis, how long did it take you to write it? How many pages?

I wrote the initial paper last year but I've only expanded it into a thesis over the past few months. The writing was the easy part. The research was a killer.

It's not particularly long - about 60 pages - but it's dense.

You have my deepest appreciation of the feat which you have accomplished.

I am still deep in the rough draft-research phase of my MA thesis--my full-time job with hours that coincide very closely with the object of my primary source documents have relegated me to researching almost entirely only during vacations when I am not teaching. And now the best part--I may have lost the last few months of research when my laptop's hard drive decided to reformat itself last week--I'm sending #^%@^% drive out to see if anything can be recovered from it. Cross your fingers...

And congrats to Shake on twin girls! Though a little birdie (or should I say piggie?) had mentioned the good news to me already... :manhug:

Congrats to the baby makers. Surely Shake has the shakes for real now.

Anyway, girls are the best. If for no other reason, because they do not have the distressing habit of peeing in your face when you are changing their diapers.

You know, the current littlest Shake rarely did that. His big brother, we had to really watch out for, but not him. He does pee in the tub every once in a while, but nothing to watch out for.

Anyway, everyone says girls are easier to potty train, so we should be all done with diapers in perhaps 2-3 years. I'll be happy about that!

Mrs Shake says that now I'll have two 'daddy's little girls' and I brought up the point that they're also the babies (youngest), so we're all in trouble. Mrs Shake is more often the 'bad cop' in the house already, anyway ... not that I can't be, mind you. It just usually works out that way.

BTW, don't rent The Paper Chase in prep. If you make it to the end without slitting your wrists out of boredom, you'll find that there really wasn't any significant chasing at all.
