The weather is absolutely fantastic where I am. It is chilly for the summer, overcast and raining off and on. Perfect weather for the summer months as opposed to the usual torture of plus 80 degree temperatures and accompanying humidity.

Aw, damn, MonCapitan...I'm envious.
We're now going on 49 days without rainfall. In Puddle City. The past week has been beastly, high temperature-wise (up to 105°), and it has only slacked in a minor fashion since. No rain anywhere in the reliable forecasts.
Oh, and despite being thankful that I'm not in British Columbia, we still have hazy, smoky air thanks to the central BC wildfires.

Bloody cold out by the SF beach, which means I bet the rest of California is baking.
(There's a small industry here in selling sweaters to tourists going to sunny california, but damn has it been extra cold the last few weeks).

I checked this morning and all that is showed was some 'partly cloudy' for Sunday.
I had to hurriedly double-check your claim...
YEAH!
It is now showing two days of precipitation over the weekend.
Bring on the rain!
And, sure enough, it will peel about ten degrees (°F) off the average daily high temperatures. MOST excellent!
This is the best news I've heard all day. (For me, anything beyond three days forecast is 'unreliable'.)

Here's another amazing image. I'm in Austin so probably outside the realm of significant impact from this, but note that almost the entire Texas coastline (367 miles, per wikipedia) is expected to get >20" of rain. Insane.

SF and the bay area just went through a heatwave, 104° in Downtown SF and 90° at the beach (the beach is regularly in the 60s or lower this time of year).
...and now it's raining.

It's been wicked hot and smoky here for the past few days, mostly from other people's forest fires. The smoke has completely obliterated the mountains, which is always a little disconcerting, and my eyes itch like a motherfucker.
It's supposed to cool down and maybe rain tomorrow, though.

They named one of those hurricanes after me. But the latest one, Irma, is in the Caribbean now, threatening our outposts! Troops have been dispatched from nearby posts not in its path. Next will be US outposts, so you may wanna send some troops too.
Here I just got rained upon while getting beers, which goes to show it is punishment for our sins. In this case mine. Sorry, Nijmegen.
