There's really only one Barrett album; the second album is mostly Waters-helmed, with one Barrett song at the end. Unless you count
Relics, I guess, which is a compilation of singles/outtakes and isn't all Barrett stuff anyway.
I actually liked
Momentary Lapse better than
Division Bell, even though it's really just a Gilmour album with Wright and Mason playing on it (although Mason was somewhat involved in the creative side, Wright was essentially just invited to play on it).
Division Bell felt a bit flabby and tired, although "High Hopes" was fantastic. But both albums have a Pink Floyd sound that is lacking from anything Waters did solo; if that's because they're a "well-executed counterfeit" (Waters' description of
Momentary Lapse), I really don't care.
Coincidentally, I just saw the Gilmour Live at Gdansk concert video. At first I was puzzled to see Wright there, until I realized it was recorded about 2 years before his death. Anyway, I really liked the solo songs from Gilmour's
On An Island album, which somehow escaped my notice. I ended up being more interested in those than hearing an umpteenth live version of the old Floyd songs, as well-done as they were.
