Homo naledi is a major new discovery in paleoanthropology. I have been following this story for two years on
John Hawks' blog. It represents not only a major discovery regarding human ancestory, but also a significant instance of interdisciplinary science and what might be considered a revolutionary use of digital media in paleoanthropological research.
After the various dignitaries finish with their bits Lee Berger comes on and starts to talk about the actual discovery about 40 minutes into the briefing.
