Another Planet?
A couple of Cal Tech scientists hypothesize that a large planet may be the explanation for the weird orbits and clusterings of objects in the Kuiper Belt, a part of the solar system located beyond the orbit of Neptune. One of the scientists, Michael Brown, made the discoveries that ultimately got Pluto demoted to "dwarf planet" status.
One thing is troubling, though:
Quote:
It may be hard to believe that something so big would not have been seen before now. But Scott Sheppard of the Carnegie Institution for Science explains that for us to see it, sunlight has to travel all the way out there, bounce off the object, then travel all the way back.

Apparently these dumbasses resent Seymour Lessans to the point that they can't accept efferent vision.

More likely they are upset that the glare from all those billions of stars in the sky that we see through efferent vision is drowning out seeing the new planet. They are so dumb that they didn't realize that they could spot the planet when it blocks out the light from the background stars that fill the sky. When will they ever learn, to read and believe Lessans book.
