Daughter, who got trapped with us when the Stay-at-home order came down mid-March, is out on a date tonight. (Coffee at a Starbucks and a walk around a local body of water--outside, and she'll be wearing a mask.) Mrs. S warned her that, if she wasn't home by nine, Mrs. S was going to go out looking for her.

She got home well before 9. She had a good time, and I think she'll go out with the guy again.

Hey, I really shouldn't be telling you guys this because it's going to be a surprise, but since nobody links to us: A whole lot of the women you see out there wearing masks every day are actually nurturing lush, perfectly groomed beards and mustaches underneath. Dramatic handlebars, neat little devil goatee setups, suave pencil thins, you name it. Toothbrushes are the only ones that are verboten.
I've been having really intense, vivid dreams of late (probably not unrelated to my increased drinking of liquor), and the other morning I had a revelation.
I love these dreams because they make me feel so much more alive than I feel in my waking hours.
Dunno, I am having the summer holiday of a lifetime. ZERO obligations, all day is at my own pace and according to my own whims, so essentially I get to watch movies and eat & drink whatever I feel like all day instead of worrying about schedules and expenditure and what other people might want.
I have watched 7 films in two days. And built an addition to my DVD shelf.
I just renewed the library books that have been sitting on my desk for 4 months because they were due soon, and I don't want to find out which library is open for me to drop them off.
I have a pile of books that are due at some point in the future, I'm really not sure when. I may as well hold on to them since the libraries are all closed so I can't drop them off anyway.
Our governor has issued an executive order on masks and some people are going apeshit about it, like the people wearing Nazi flags on their faces in Walmart. Stay classy, Walmart shoppers.
Our mayor walked back some of the guidelines on bars and restaurants opening - NO DANCING!

My coworker keeps coming in where I'm working, yowling for attention and will only shut up when I give her ham. One of my other coworkers is asleep in a box on the floor.
My co-worker didn't get his proper nap today, but he doesn't get irritable, he just gets more chewy and scratchy. I probably would prefer irritable.

My laundry day clothes have nearly done a 180. Today, I am wearing what used to be my good pants because all of my dirtbag, barely pass as not-pajama pants were in the wash.
I had just discovered a type of dungarees that I liked, with full-sized pockets and everything, and weeks later, they became far too formal. I feel like a fancy pantsed clown right now.
We have been legoing for some time during the pandemic. We didn't lego before. I had a bat copter with nightwing and manbat when we started legoing for real.
I love our lego town. It sits on two 6 foot banquet folding tables.
The town in the middle is mostly Lego Modular sets, some of which have been modified and JD has a custom modular build as well. The town has park in the middle where Billy Strings is performing bluegrass. Nexo Knights, Modok, and various denizens have gathered for the Bluegrass on the Greengrass Concert Series.
The train is the Disney Lego train. The set included a Disney Train Station.
Along the outside of the tracks, the Disney World Castle reaches up towards the sky towering over Darth Vader's castle near by. The train then runs by Ivy's Isle as it enters the train tunnel beneath Harley's Castle Pandemonium and then runs past Avenger's compound before returning to the Disney Station.
