Default fire away

I'm atheist and pagan, am fond of irony, enjoy science, philosophy, history, turn-based strategy war games, hiking, fire night, poker night with my kids, taking the dogs to the river, rocky mountain high, peaceful optimistic people, reading, puzzles, and learning new viewpoints.

My kids help keep me fresh. Things are moving so fast. I kinda like being left alone. Am trying to figure everything out.

Free the weed; the machines are coming; if the mob is running east I head north or south.

Hay Apathist! Nice to meet yers. I also like many of those things, though I am not necessarily much good at any of them. Though not John Denver songs. Not even ironically. :P

How can you be atheist and pagan at the same time? Is there such a thing as paganism without any gods or similar supernatural beliefs?

Do you play these games online? Do you consider Twilight Struggle to be a war game?

Hiya apathist. I also enjoy history and poker, although I'm quite terrible at the latter. This is why I never put real money on the table.

Hi apathist, welcome aboard. :tiphat:

I used the tiphat smiley to welcome you because of course your username is an anagram of 'a hat tips'.

We also have hattip and tiphat2 smilies: :hattip: :tiphat2:

I suppose if you're interested in puzzles then a username anagram puzzle could be on the cards. :chin:

Hey, apathist. I'd say you'll fit in quite well.

Just a guess.

This whole board is filled with posters who fled to 'craw-step' space.

I engage in the occasional 'turn-based strategy war games', but we handicap ourselves and call it 'high Risk behavior'. Free the weed. I used to teach history to adolescents. Free the weed. I play a fair amount of poker with my comrades, and it's always for real money...just nickles, dimes and quarters.

Your post prompted me to look for an online anagrammer (perfectly cromulent :glare: ) and Google did this:

Good luck with anagramming me. :P

Nice, thx!

From the Wiki article, Twilight Struggle sounds like fun. Apparently its a popular game.

Paganism is very eclectic, but speaking for myself I hold no beliefs in the supernatural, in creator gods, or in revelations from prophets. I believe in nature, particularly mother nature on earth, we are a part of that, and I believe minds exist.
