Deadlokd, come in here and confirm the Demi-Crumb switch. I love how that panned out. It was a totally solid move that bey's block (also a solid choice) sent into a tailspin that could have doomed us all.
eta Confirmed by Nightson above. OH YA, I CAN EDIT NOW.

Very early on, because I doubted we had one. I built stock in the potential fakeclaim starting on day 1, because the roles seemed weird as hell and I figured I could potentially use it to take one for the team.

Meg, what persuaded you to unvote me and go for Kael instead? I seriously thought I was a goner. If Crumb had been online I probably would have been.

The Demi-Crumb switch just about fucked us, that was nuts.

Huh? You were allowed to pick two blocking scenarios? Ohhh, I get it. In case you were offline for the lynch results.

Hey, If I hadn't gotten blocked Night 2, I would have cleared Kael and who knows what would have happened? We prolly would have lynched liv, then maybe Mega or Adam, and would have lost.
Yeah for that switch!

I promised you tauntings way before your scumdar was recalibrated, back when you were all "you've never played like this, meta meta meta evil evil evil."

I left fish hooks everywhere, but that was the most dangerous one. You were the most suspicious in my "probably town" list... so I put you at L-1 to see who would bite.
I had Crumb in my crosshairs, and I'd planned to see if we could get a scum hammer. Kael's vote was already on you. (Adam's was too, but he was clear off my scumdar on day 1.)
That shit was dangerous, though. I realized that bey or Demi could have just as easily come around to swing the hammer if pursuaded well enough, so I undid it, and that's when I decided to pull the "reveal".
I was setting up for the next day more than anything, but Kael/Crumb/bey were my axis of evil so I couldn't help but do what I thought would hammer him.

Re: Mafia Game Thread
That said, the distance between you and Kael on my scum-o-meter was practically fucking microscopic. A hair's breadth on each side of "probably town" and "probably scum", respectively.
I almost revoted you. It was ridiculously close.
The fake doctor claim was just as much of a 'beyelzu vindication test' as it was a last gasp effort to give Demi another chance to root someone out.

Re: Mafia Game Thread
What was the hook in the "die Demi" post at the begining of Day 3? You mentioned it but didn't elaborate.

Re: Mafia Game Thread
Yeah, I had trouble trusting bey too. I didn't know enough to believe him scum, but he just didn't seem town to me. Glad I didn't go with my emotions on that.

I'd have run a wagon up someone's ass in five seconds if they'd have voted you. Unless it was Adam, then I'd have shifted away from it.
E: Especially if they'd have voted you with a 'me too' post.
E2: And it had to look convincing or it wouldn't work. Hence the "Die."

Re: Mafia Game Thread
Gotcha. It confused me, because I had no idea where it was coming from.
I learned a lot this game. Especially to mind my p's and q's from the begining so I don't set of false alarms.
Funny thing is, I was trying to not FOS anyone Day 1 because I didn't want to lose my credibility, that's why I was asking questions. I wanted to be believed after I got all my amazing super secret views.
That's pretty funny considering.

Re: Mafia Game Thread
Yeah... Thought we had a chance if I could get liv lynched. Once I went down it was over, as there's no way Demi was going to investigate anyone but Crumb. That switch-accidental-block on night 2 didn't help, as I was really hoping for that innocent verdict from Demi. Losing The Man on day one hurt bad, too.
Such a cool role that I just didn't get in position to exploit properly.
I look forward to the next one.

I'm very happy with the setup, but really the amusement value came from each and every one of you guys.

Re: Mafia Game Thread
Did you use a formula to determine the balance, Nightson, or did you just balls your way through it? For a small game with so many roles, I'm really impressed with how well-balanced it was. We could have won or lost in about 50 different ways.

Just experience. A cop is good but is worth slightly less when there's a godfather in the game. A godfather is worth slightly less when there's a roleblocker. Both roleblockers and bus drivers are fairly neutral in effectiveness for the town but they can both add some soft protection and there wasn't a doctor.

Re: Mafia Game Thread
I had to go back and look. I am amazed I was never targeted at all. I guess scum assumed a Doc would protect me night one, night two they went for deadlokd, and no chance on night three.
Astonishing.
