Huh. Actually, your explanation's making sense to me. I take back what I said about being willing to vote for Sock Puppet--for now, anyway.

Re: Mafia - Game III
Well Sock has been on my list for a long while, though I would think we might get the more valuable info by a Lees lynch (we would take a good look at those earlier votes and pare down the suspects considerably vs. sock). Maybe the vig (if it is Julie) could help us out on that one, otherwise they would be after Julie.
Sock is higher on my list than Lees.
So... vote: sockpuppet
And with that I have to completely fix my router or whatever is dropping my connection down to 1Mbps every 5 minutes.

It depends on who gets lynched. And it depends on the finding from that lynching. Untill then I can't say for sure who I will kill tonight.
I firmly believe Lees and or sock are mafia/trator. Unfortunatly I don't know 100%, which is also why I havnt killed anyone before now. I was hoping to get today and tomorrow to get my kills in, but now I'll only get one in tonight.
My vote for lees still stands right now. Like I siad earlier I'm happy to vote for either Lees or Socks.

Re: Mafia - Game III
At the moment, Sock has 4 votes and Lees has 2 votes... I just don't know what to think anymore. There are some people who I think are quite likely innocent (balluga, NC Kev, slimshady) but I don't have anything really good on people who are guilty.
Still. I'm waffling back and forth on Sock. I'm worried that Sock and Lees could both be innocent, in which case we are going to get into a bad situation where three or four good guys die today. On the other hand I have nobody better to vote for than Sock. But I'm worried we should deliberate more before i throw on the fifth vote and then somebody reaps him (Julie, as likely as not).
If Sock gets lynched you will vig Leesifer, right?

Re: Mafia - Game III
We're getting to the point where we're damned if we do (assuming we hang an innocent) and damned if we don't (thread gets too cluttered making it impossible to sort anything out). Plus, waiting too long can make a situation where everybody gets frustrated and lynches an innocent (sorry, godfry). Now, I'm not saying rush in and lynch anybody, but I think we are well past the danger of that.
Julie has put us in a bind with her claim of special a role... Lees death would give us the most information (that we know of)... and voting for sock is just shooting in the dark as far as I'm concerned.
Now, I know TomJoe was hollering like his dick was stuck in a fan, but he was right about capp being scum and he was right about me being a townie. This makes me inclined to investigate his other claims, namely Lees.

I propose that you kill one of us, and wait to identify the corpse before killing the other. Julie only gets one shot since she revealed, but I would like to ask her to come up with a third suspect rather than one-twoing Lees and I -- especially if the lynchee turns out to be townie. I share your trepidation about what will happen to the town if we're both innocent and we both bite it before next daybreak.
So, in that spirit, and since self-voting is for suckers,
unvote; vote: Leesifer
Sorry Lees. I'm not at all certain of you, but I can't trust my own perspective anymore.
P.S. I think I've finally identified the main mistake I've made in how I've presented myself in this game (and the last game, when the vig mistakenly hit me). There's no point in posting it until after I'm out of the game, as it will just appear to be self-serving. But the second biggest mistake was in allowing myself to be kept on the defensive. That won't happen next time, whatever my role is.
P.S.S. I know my vote has gone all over the place lately. At first I thought I would be lynched right away, and I just wanted to get several suspicions on the record before I bought it. I doubt I'll change it again; the only change I can think I might make at this point is switching back to MonCap.

Since hell does not exist, I will simply cease to be. I do find it odd that you would suggest lynching me without providing any rationale for choosing me over any other potential lynching candidate.

Re: Mafia - Game III
NcKev, you're looking suspicious as hell right now.
In one post you're saying we should get on with a lynching soon (something you're pretty damn found of it seems*) and you're going to investigate Lees, and then WHAM! you're posting for MonCap and refusing to give any explanation.
What gives?
*from what I can tell NcKev just jumps from bandwagon to bandwagon switching votes whenever someone else seems more likely to be lynched. He was on bey first (random vote really, nothing strange there), then switched to Spenser when it looked like people were going to lynch him. Then Spenser is mod killed and bey's bandwagon starts building, NcKev votes bey. Then bey is mod killed. Afterwards NcKev joins godfry's bandwagon and then switches over to MonCap's when it seems more likey MonCap will be killed(before godfry revealed as the doc).
Then yesterday he starts out by voting trillian (with Lees) and then when the shit starts to fly switches back and forth between TJ and Capp, basically going with whoever has the most votes.
Top that off with the fact that he's been on the bey, MonCap and godfry bandwagons with Capp, Lees and Julie and there are a whole bunch of names here that keep coming up like a bad smell.
I'd like to hear from both Lees and NcKev as to why they were on so many bandwagons.

Re: Mafia - Game III
Oh for goodness sake. I am just getting linked with anyone who is considered a baddie at the moment.
I don't really have time to defend myself right now and probably won't until this evening.
I didn't think I'd jumped on "so many" bandwagons.

Re: Mafia - Game III
I can think of two possible reasons why they might do that. The first possibility is that they are meek minded and simply follow the pack. The second possibility is that they are (or one of them is) scum.

After reviewing the thread further, I'm starting to really wonder about NcKev.
For now, to avoid adding a vote to anyone already voted for and to get some discussion going, I'm going to vote NcKev

Re: Mafia - Game III
I'd bet the farm that MonCap is a townie. He has been sticking on Leesifer's back for the entire game, rather than sowing lies and doubt all over as a mafioso would. Now that I've gone back and checked, NC Kev doesn't look as definitely innocent as I thought. Most of that feeling was based on his offer to be the sacrificial lamb, but in retrospect, how seriously likely was it that he would wind up lynched? There were probably not enough people impatient enough to go ahead and off him, since they'd rather try for a mafia. It could have been a ploy with relatively little risk, that gained him the trust of everyone. Unfortunately I did a stupid thing and voted for him, and then capp followed suit; that is as far as the bandwagon got, however. Since capp voted for him, I am not sure what that tells us. Was he going to bail, or is NC Kev really a townie?

Re: Mafia - Game III
Good morning, town. I'm off to work now. I'm leaving my vote up, because it looks like it's going to be another long day, so I don't think there's much risk of having another nightfall while I'm away. If I'm wrong and someone's about to be lynched, call me at work and I'll phone in my input.

Re: Mafia - Game III
Oh, and also I just remembered something! One of the things that made me suspicious of Sock was on Day 1 he did a Foghorn Leghorn smiley with a balloon that said "That's a joke, son" but the thing he was referring to totally did not read as a joke. Sock usually totally cracks me up, so I doubt he would make such an unobvious joke. Unfortunately I'm running too late to dig up the post right now to quote it. But it's there, I promise.
