Meaning that any protestation he doesn't happen to agree with is "terrorism".

I'd bet that Mr. Coates is a crony of Bonsai Johnny.

I can just see it now.

20 years in the future,
Yes Jimmy I was there the year the squirt bottle terrorists hit. It was horrible they sprayed everywhere.
Jimmy: What did they spray Pa?
Pa: Water son, they sprayed water.
Jimmy: That must have been horrible. It's a good thing we outlawed squirt bottles.

No-one is demanding a return to theocracy. The Dalai Lama himself was very young when he was placed at the head of what was then a theocracy, and is now a proponent of democracy. The myth that the Dalai Lama, or most Free-Tibeters want a return to theocracy seems to have gained some traction among left-wingers, but its a myth, nonetheless.

And no-one is saying that the Chinese occupation is a wonderful thing. It's not all evil commies and valiant, peaceful Buddhists.

I've honestly never understood this. What is so great and unifying about the damn Olympics?
In spite of the cheating with performance enhancing drugs and the the greasy politics there's still a lot of honest young people honing their bodies to peak performance, and admirng those who excel rather than studying ways of killing one-another.
