Obviously I need to identify the origins of all the letters. I have most, but there are a few stragglers and most of those are making me crazy because I really feel like I should know them. They're all supposed to be from other projects that Simpsons people have done, so like Matt Groening, David X. Cohen, Josh Weinstein, etc.
So far I have:
R - Futurama
O
U
N
D - Beavis and Butthead
S - The Simpsons
P
R - The Critic
I - Mission Hill
N - King of the Hill
G - Gravity Falls
F - F is for Family
I
E - Life is Hell
L
D - Disenchantment
I don't think they necessarily all need to be from cartoons, but I haven't identified any that aren't.
I looked up Office Space and Silicon Valley, since those are both Mike Judge properties, but neither is represented. (Also not represented are a shitload of cartoons I looked up just for this purpose, including Daria, Home Movies, Family Guy, The Maxx, Dilbert, and South Park)
What do you think, ? Do the four or so of us that remain have it in us to finish this thing? Go team!
Re: Help me with a fun, stupid thing to do with Cartoons
That second I is such a generic typewriter i that it could be from probably a lot of things. For example, The Office would work, but I also feel like there is a cartoon that has a font like that but of course I can't put my finger on it.
Re: Help me with a fun, stupid thing to do with Cartoons
Spent far longer than I would care to admit on trying to find where that 'U' is from. Seems like it should be one of the easier ones to identify, but I got nothing
Re: Help me with a fun, stupid thing to do with Cartoons
Right? I feel that way about several of them. Like the one with the bird on it. I know I've seen that before. But where?!
Since Conan O'Brien is definitely in the mix when it comes to Simpsons creators, I thought based on the city skyline that maybe the U represented one of his non-cartoon talk shows. But neither Tonight Show nor Late Night has a U in the name. Baffling.
Re: Help me with a fun, stupid thing to do with Cartoons
I've brought this post over to this thread because Isolation Diaries moves too quickly and I still want to get all these. Also maybe people can have another look at ES's and try to finish those as well.

Re: Help me with a fun, stupid thing to do with Cartoons
LOL my sarcastic ass was typing a reply in the other thrad that this would be a better place for this. (Yes, I can type with my sarcastic ass, sarcastic ass!). I came in to say I got #9, but I'm too late.
Re: Help me with a fun, stupid thing to do with Cartoons
I've spent another hour or so looking for that U, but I can't find it. It's like my white whale now. I could find every other missing letter and it would mean nothing. I must have that U
Re: Help me with a fun, stupid thing to do with Cartoons
I got sort of excited there for a second, when I saw the U blown up, it really looks like the Empire State building on the right side. So I looked up all TV shows set in NY. I found this: ScreenHunter_223 Mar. 31 16.33.jpg
And I know it's not right, but I was, like, almost excited. For about 1/10 of a second.
This is actually the page I was looking at before. I went through each one that had a 'U' in the name but couldn't find a title card that looked like this 'U'.
