NEW POAST because one of my instructables is gonna be in a new ebook!

I only posted four instructables total and haven't done one in a really long time, but two of them won prizes before, and now a third one got picked for an ebook.

Now, where's the love for my goddamned yogurt making one? WHY DOES EVERYONE HATE ME SO MUCH?

So the new baker today referred to the skin covering the outside of her elbow as her weenis. I LOLed because I have only ever heard of weenis as slang for penis. We debated whether or not weenis meant one, the other, or both. Turns out some slang dictionaries online do refer to wenis as slang for the skin over the outside of one's elbow. So I'll let her know that apparently she's not just making shit up.

Anyway, she was then asking other bakers if they knew the name for the skin over the outside of one's elbow, and nobody had heard of weenis and mostly giggled when she said it. I then asked them if they knew the name for the skin that covers one's kneecap.
"It's called your vah-jay-jay," I told them.
Good times.

I should probably put this in Andy Rooney Complaints, but I'm not quite ready to admit it.

You guys. I cannot find my little jar with Sharpies in it and a roll of masking tape around the rim. It's not where it belongs. It's not in any of the other places I've looked. I'm not entirely ready to say this out loud, but I think it might be gone.

I guess you just sort of go around labeling things for the freezer, bulk spices, jars of beans and rice and flour and things like that, and you never really take a moment to appreciate the little jelly jar with Sharpies in it and a roll of masking tape around the rim.

Never, that is, until it's gone.

Ok I thought I had heard that the King of Thailand gave out free vasectomies on his birthday. It turns out I was wrong, it was the promotion of this guy (Cabbages & Condoms: The Rubber Contraceptive Comes Out Of The Closet: ThingsAsian) and an even better story of 1) some really, really creative marketing, 2) and also some research for something called a no-scalpel vasectomy. No-scalpel vasectomy at the King's birthday vasectomy festival : The Lancet

Kudos to you, Mr. Machai, may you forever be associated with condoms!

My brother-in-law took us out to one of those restaurants when we visited him Thailand back in '02. The food was very good and I still have one of those complementary condoms lying about somewhere. The table, as I recall, was glass topped and the surface between the glass the underlying table was covered with an assortment of brightly covered condom packages. Very attractive.

I see a government attacking the very fabric of America, a store that is damaging the economy and people riding around in socialized scooters that could be carrying a bomb inside. Can I call those in?
Or do I need to put "Muslim" in there somewhere for it to count?

Also interesting DHS (which used to stand for the Department of Human Services) now apparently stands for the Department of Homeland Security.
No change in values there, nope.

You know what I just noticed? After a mere five and a half years of being here?

I just noticed that I pronounce the ending in lisarea and LadyShea differently (in my head, of course. Not out loud!):

lisaray (like in Lisa Raygun!) and LadyShia (like Lady Ch-ch-ch-Chia).

I might not be quite as bright as I thought. :blank:
