Re: Miscellany
This is livius drusus' fault, because the ch-ch-ch-chia song reminds me of the monchichi song.
I had a monchichi doll that also had a molded plastic belly with a bellybutton so that you could stick its thumb into its bellybutton the same way you could put it in its mouth. And I can find no evidence of this existing!
And when I say I "had," I don't mean when I was a kid. I got it when I lived in this house, so it's been within the past 15 years and I do remember it clearly.
For some reason, though, every now and again, some third party will take it upon themselves to "edit" things in my life they disapprove of, like that Pierre et Gilles print that two completely different houseguests took off my wall and hid. And I am afraid that some malevolent fucker did something to my special bellybutton edition monchichi for similarly intolerant reasons.
To rectify this speculated injustice, I'm going to need you guys to find me a monchichi with a bellybutton now.

Here, I will help you! I distinctly remember having a little gorilla doll with opposable thumbs and toes, and it had bunches of holes in it like for ears and mouth and nostrils and stuff. So you could set it up in all kinds of funny configurations, like make it suck its thumb while picking it's nose with its big toe, or you could stick both it's thumbs in its ears and pretend like it was saying "neener neener neener", shit like that.
I was literally a small child when I played with this thing so my memory is super fuzzy, I just remember thinking the big toe in the nose was the height of comedy. I don't remember whether it had a hole for the belly button, or whether it was even a Monchichi doll.
You're welcome.

I now have the Monchichi song stuck in my head and I can't even view the U-tubes at work. It popped in the my head the second I saw the word.

Dayum. I was reading that with all the it's's that should be its's and I was like, "I totally remember fixing BOTH of those!" There's like 5.

I added an extra Ch- to my Chia thread title because lisarea made me feel bad for missing one. Just for that, I will not reassure her that Monchichis had fingerbangable navels.

Re: Miscellany
My local morning radio guys held a brand new contest this year. The last few years in preparation for the Super Bowl they had what they called the Soup Bowl. As the name would suggest it was an event where they and some special chosen listeners ate soup all morning. It was stupid but it was also fun to listen to - if you can believe such a thing. This year, however, they did something different. They had - as they called it - the Puppy Pooper Bowl. (WARNING, PICTURES OF PUPPIES POOPING)
The point of this post isn't about the celebration of the Super Bowl or about the poop. (Sorry, liv.) But about the puppies. In the days leading up, I thought it was a cute enough idea. Get some puppies, put them in a mock stadium and let them run around and be puppies. BUT THEN, I seen the puppies they're using this year. They called them "bull dog - terrier mixes" BUT I KNOW BETTER. Those are definitely pibble mix doges. I can tell from the having seen pibble mix doges in my day. And if I skeered you with the WARNINGS OF PUPPY POOPINGS, I'll go ahead and spoil you that all four puppies are available for adoption, which made me feel warn in my thorax region.

Re: Miscellany
Holy shit, that was scary.
I was brushing my teeth, and at first I thought it was coyotes, but I slowly realized it was HUMANS SCREAMING, and that there were car horns and fireworks too, and I was like, "Oh. Denver must have won that footballing contest."
So I went outside and turned the car upside down, as is the tradition.

Re: Miscellany
Twice in the past couple of weeks, I have heard the song The Truth coming off current TV shows that someone else was watching (Better Call Saul and one of those godforsaken comic book shows).
That album came out in 1999, and I am the only person who ever bought it, so I am claiming my hipster cred right now, in case that song is on some kind of Hallelujah trajectory.

One guy was super serious about it and was dressed head to toe in Bronco orange. Given his consumption of rum drinks, I think I could have tricked him into dressing into a My little Brony Bronco costume about half way through the game.

Re: Miscellany
Forbes blocks you if you have ad blockers turned on, according to Miisa. And therefore you shouldn't read their news, according to Miisa and every right-thinking netizen must agree.
But it seems like I do have access, even with Adblocker doing its job. Miisa must have made them capitulate within the past few hours!
Anyway while checking I spotted this:
Can These Panties Disrupt The $15 Billion Feminine Hygiene Market? - Forbes
which contains the quote-worthy (indeed, pre-highlighted for tweeting ) line
Quote:
“If I can own the vagina and butthole, I win,” says Agrawal.
