Thanks for that. I have been trying to figure out the economy over there bit by bit. It is all scattered around the enclave and just when think I have it figured out, BAM there is another one to consider.

While I am leveling my character, I have been hoarding my loot and buying kits out the wazoo to open all the treasure points. I am a compulsive treasure hunter. I wasn't even sure what I will use it all for besides selling it for copper/diamonds. But damn it if I can leave a box unopened.

I need a profession, I guess. I will most likely skip Alchemy based on Ymir's advice. Farming diamonds sounds like a good match for what I need since my computer freezes up in PVP mode.

I know that 4th edition changed a number of things, but this isn't really D&D in any form that I know it. Sure there are similarities but pretty much any dungeon crawl game is going to have those, as D&D was pretty much the standard that everyone followed or reacted against.

The flow of combat, the power cool downs (encounter, at will, daily, etc.) is all 4th ed. The concept of striker, leader, etc. is all from 4th ed as well. From what I've seen Neverwinter is a pretty faithful adaptation of 4th ed rules. Like BroMan I also look down my nose at 4th ed, but I go a step further and flick boogers at it.

I finally stumbled across the Guild News tab last night and lost it when I saw the guild ranks. I love you people! Sincerely though, fun stuff like that is making my learning the interface much more fun and much less hair pulling crazy.

Though I leveled up to 14 the other night, I had a tangled web of half finished missions going back to level 10. I got it all sorted last night and unlocked all the pretty gear my generous guildies gave me. I look BAD ASS. I will try and grab a screenshot next time I log in.

I got my companion last night too. All the guides said to get a Cleric for the first slot, but my Defense and max HP are through the roof. I have few issues with healing even when soloing. So I got a pup-pup.

I named her Rouge. She is grey though. Can you dye a dog?

I also meant to note that you can use the change appearance choice for pieces of armor or what-not so long as you have what you want it to look like in your inventory. The price for that however is costs insanely amounts of diamonds.

Presently the common companions (the free ones) are limited to level 15. They will remain roughly half of your level until they max out. If you want more powerful companions you can pay for them and depending on their quality they can achieve higher levels. Supposedly, Cryptic will have tomes of whatever so that you can upgrade your common companion but there's no official word as to when that will happen or if it will cost real money or what.
