I keep coming up with ways that would get people like me to watch sports. One way would be a zombie run/cycle, where the spectators are actively trying to catch/trip/stop the competitors. Brain-eating optional.

Others are things like having competitors have to compete in at least one other random sport they have never tried before. Or randomly have to do it with a handicap like a blindfold. Or the classic, have one person who said "I could do that, easy!" be wrangled up as a competitor along with the others.

I certainly don't watch it for the crashes

Discovery Plus, which streams the TdF here, puts markers on the timeline not just for sprints and climbs, but also each incident (törmäys in the Finnish ui).

I think that gives you an edge over me in any pool-style contests, so I'll bow out of that, but please do continue to post updates. I'm counting on you.

Also, I'm not related to any English teachers, but the "rule" about one-syllable words being the only words that are modified by comparative and supurlative suffixes (suffices?) goes out the window with adjectives that end in Y, as in happier, happiest. So guiltier looks perfectly crumulent to me.
