Evolution is wrong and God did it.

Fact.

The Bohr model of the atom springs to mind.

I remain disappointed that instead of hot insect sex we have merely a feeble dancing puppet.

The Ease With Which Idiots Are Lead Around Like muppets: And yet Every Day they claim They are Puppet Masters, Like some Gibbering Buffoon, (now with free clown shoes)

A book about human psychology where idiots are made to dance like gibbering goons to the scientists/Pied Pipers tune, and then pretend they are actually clever.

Disappointing. I thought there would be more hookers and it's points tend to be predictable.

Every day: do you not think at some point your making my point for me might get dull?*

Brazil!

La lalalalala laaaaaaaaaa.

*Or is your point just to be trolled every day? If so carry on daddy controls you breathing**. :D

** This is such fun: I mean I thought chuck was better than this but clearly chuck is as retarded as he seems. Dude where's my brain?*** ;)

*** At what point are you going to show me how brilliant you are chuck?

OK back on topic? This article First They Came for the Anthropologists - Edward Tenner - National - The Atlantic, raised some significant parts about education for a skill, a technical skill, versus education for an educations sake, or learning stuff the gub'mint dosen't want you to know.

I had a liberal arts education, in which my biology class was taught by a geneticist who taught the ethics of biology, encompassing many medical, reproductive and scientific advances and their effect on the world. I'd hate for those sort of things to only be reported in the media, and not really looked into in depth.
Also I can see how Florida doesn't want anyone to think about or investigate prisons in depth.

On a related note.
What's wrong with anthropology? by John Hawks.

Hawks also weighs in here with some comments on the Florida story.

This is Anthropology

Students at the University of South Florida respond to Gov. Rick Scott's assertion that the state of Florida doesn't need any more anthropologists.

Most of that seemed directed at helping poor people, racial minorities, immigrants, women and college students.

I think the question Rick Scott is asking is... Do those people vote Republican?

I thought you were referring to John Hawkes, the actor from Deadwood and wondered why anyone would care what he thought about science education. Then again, Janine Turner and that stupid ditzy blond Victoria Jackson have been spewing their nonsensical bullshit unchecked and the press eats it up.
