Re: A revolution in thought
Amazon's page has the introduction if you "look inside" - you will see exactly what she has done with Authentic Text. It's not pretty. It also looks like she's distilled almost all of Lessans' tome into a scant 56 pages.
Sadly, this may sell better than either the Authentic Text or the other Corrupted Text

Lulz abounded when peacegirl accused ChuckF, the True Steward of Lessans' intellectual legacy, of "pirat[ing]" audio files that were freely available on the site.
peacegirl appears to have abandoned her prior Corrupted Text and is now hawking a book titled THIS IS AN URGENT MESSAGE FROM A VISITOR TO YOUR PLANET for lucre. Is this book an uncorrupted version of Seymour Lessans' actual original writings?
lol no. Note that peacegirl gives herself equal billing as an "author" of the book. The other author is "Ruomyes Snassel." Get it? It's "Seymour" spelled backward and "Lessans" spelled backward. peacegirl hates her father and his original writings so much that she can no longer even bring herself to use his real name! Sad! ~ Donald Trump (@realDonald Trump)

Re: A revolution in thought
Well, boys, my new virtual boyfriend, the Soviet dissident and acclaimed author Alexander Solzhenitsyn, recently gave me the affectionate pet name “ILLITERATE RASCAL LADY.” Per Maturin’s suggestion, Flo made that her user title, replacing my long-standing “Mayor of Mayonnaise.”
However, this one is too good to pass up: “Egress From an Evolutionary Protist.”
After all, “Flo Jellem” just means “irreducibly complex” and hence designed; and so … sorry, Alex! Your pet name for me was nice while it lasted, but now it’s time to move on … perhaps move from our relationship, too, since you have ignored Flo lately.

Let's try peacegirl's new approach on the text:
Inbred, mothproof Gaetulian Elfenfolk!
(Thermotank bandfile offline. Poor glue.)
Ovaritis overrules the spiffiest wanger, the reason their TARTAR INGESTION was delayed 500 years, a gimp's unchlorinated phial. Serena Cubehead, we have unbelievable ghee tattoos that lobotomize its warlord Sydney.
Makes more sense now!

For what it's worth, the site is alive and well at - Decline and Fall of All Evil.
And yes, all of the audio files are still there.

Re: A revolution in thought
Thank goodness. The revolution in ungainly anti-vax advocacy and failed lucre-chasing is saved!
It looks like Seymour Lessans is still tweeting from the Germinal World of Potential Consciousness, so all is well.

First page, very insightful by this lacewing person. Peacegirl doesn't handle it well.

Ah yes.
The basic "Take responsibility for all the crap you get yourself into and stop blaming others, and you will find peace" thing.
How revolutionary
We should be able to find a way to make money off that notion.
Hubbard always thought so.

Oh dear. I see peacegirl is still hawking her disgusting Corrupted Text for lucre, sparing not a thought for the Authentic Text as written by the Author and published in his lifetime.
Do they know? Does she think she fools them with her lies in service of mammon?

And I see that peacegirl is still unable to explain the two-sided equation in her own words.

peacegirl is not the least bit intelligent, so she might just believe that her failure to sell even one book in nearly two decades of trying means her lies in the service of mammon don't count. She can't wrap her head around the idea that an unsuccessful and incompetent servant of mammon is still a servant of mammon.
Seriously, though, for a while I hoped that peacegirl's children had discovered the full depth and breadth of her online lunacy and intervened. Looks like she was just on a lengthy booze cruise or something.

Re: A revolution in thought
It’s all going according to script. She’s having a terrible time of it, in exactly the same way she has always had.
Isn’t it time for Spacemonkey to step in over there, and alert them to the juicy parts of the Corrupted Text? I want them to get to God turning on the sun at noon, sexy jackets, translucent robes, falling in love with genitals and how the homo-sexuals (all three types) will disappear in the New World!

If not to enlighten, at least to warn that the Corrupted Text is corrupt, and to prevail upon the fair-minded to interpret the Authentic Text as written by the Author and published in his lifetime. We could even invite them to join us in the private forum.

Twenty-four pages and not a single mention of juicy cunts, dog eyes, or the tripartite classification of homo-sexuals. peacegirl continues to use Seymour Lessans'/Ruomyes Snassel's grave as a toilet.

Is peacegirl still unable to explain the Boohog Corollary, the Surreptitious Aphrodisiac Theorem, or the Butt-Stuff Injunction in her own words?
(I think we all know the answer.)

Re: A revolution in thought
Oh dear. peacegirl was down to one interlocutor and threatening to "move on" when someone discovered the Amazon review and Seymour Lessans' Twitter account:
So given that you are the person reheating Seymour Lassan's tired old books, can we assume you also manage his Twitter account, which is promoting an Anti Vax documentary for people who want their children to die?
If any of this stuff from the Amazon review is accurate, there is really no point in trying to hawk this miserable work to anyone who isn't directly retarded. ~ FlashDangerpants
I wonder if someone should tell the good folks at Philosophy Now that the content-free five-star review on Amazon came from peacegirl's idiot son in law.
Nah. It'll be much more fun for them if they find out on their own.
ETA: I shamefully confess that the possibility of "FlashDangerpants" being one of us never even occurred to me. If that happens to be true, keep up the good work.

Re: A revolution in thought
https://www.nytimes.com/aponline/201...evolution.html
Quote:
"The implications are quite profound," said Brian Hare from Duke University and who edited the article. Hare wrote in an email that these muscles almost certainly developed because they gave dogs an advantage when interacting with people, and people have been unaware of it.
"The proof has been in their puppy dog eyes all this time!" he said.
|
The paper itself tips its hand as more establishment research probably undertaken out of resentment for Seymour Lessans.
Quote:
The dog−human bond is unique and diagnostic of the evolution of human cultures. Dogs were domesticated over 33,000 y ago (1), and, during that time, selection processes have shaped both their anatomy and behavior and turned them into human’s best friend (2). The most remarkable among dogs’ behavioral adaptations, as a result of selection during domestication, is their ability to read and use human communication in ways that other animals cannot (3, 4). Dogs are more skillful in using human communicative cues, like pointing gestures or gaze direction, even than human’s closest living relative, chimpanzees, and also than their own closest living relatives, wolves, or other domesticated species (5). Recent research suggests that eye contact between humans and dogs is crucial for dog−human social interaction. Dogs, but not wolves, establish eye contact with humans when they cannot solve a problem on their own (6, 7). Eye contact also helps dogs to know when communication is relevant and directed at them, as dogs tend to ignore human pointing gestures when the human’s eyes are not visible (8, 9). Dogs, but not wolves, seem to be motivated to establish eye contact with humans from an early age (10, 11), and dogs’ motivation to establish eye contact with humans seems to be an indicator of the level of attachment between humans and dogs (12). Thus, mutual gaze between dogs and humans seems to be a hallmark of the unique relationship between both species during human cultural evolution.
