I still think it's a good thing that things have gotten to the point where a major company with such a shitty worker rights record feels it has to raise its wages, though.

Walmart closes five stores at a few hours' notice because how dare workers organise. They gave some other feeble excuse for closing them (alleged plumbing problems), but all the employees knew why they were really closed.
