I had mine out at, like, fifteen or so.

They put me under general anesthetic, and when I came out of it, I was all obstinate if you can imagine such a thing and decided to go get ice cream from Ben & Jerry's before we left. My mom tried to stop me, but I was like "PSSSH OLD WOMAN LEAVE ME BE" and walked off and bought myself a cone with her following me from a safe distance.

People were looking at me funny, but I was like, "PSSSH" to them as well.

Like people have never seen somebody with a puffy face and blood seeping out of their mouths buy ice cream before.

Whatever. I got my ice cream, and the recovery wasn't bad at all.

I was in college. I only had two wisdom teeth. The day they pulled them out I had a meatball sub for lunch. But when you think about it ground beef is kind of like pre-chewed food.

Had mine out as a teenager. Uneventful, heavy sedation, followed by some pretty nice pills. When I got home I took a nap for a few hours, woke up feeling good, and ordered a putter online. I do not and have never played golf. So I didn't take any more of the pills after the first day.

I got my wisdom teeth extracted in sets of 2 when I was in college. One semester the left side, the other semester the right side. I got them taken out by dental students at the local dental college after saving up my monies from work.

During the lower right removal the instructor had to take over and cut the tooth into 4 pieces over a 45 minute drilling session to remove it. The drill was hot and stunk of burning blood. They stopped and shot me back full of novocaine a couple times.

Overall one of the worst ways to spend $175 and an afternoon.

Had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled on the same day, one week before I turned 18. I still remember the tooth smoke drifting up my nose from grinding those fuckers out of my jaw. Intravenous Valium also caused a loss of the sense of time; I thought 20 minutes went by and they only took out one tooth when they had actually been working on me for two hours and pulled out 3. They also left me alone while taking a break at that point and unsupervised I chewed the shit out of the inside of my left cheek. Even more lots of blood!

According to the oral surgeon I was not supposed to drink anything for like two weeks, but I totally went out and got wasted on my birthday. With no damage or ill effects I could see, other than the whole "I'm an alcoholic and should not ever drink" thing.

At first the dentist said it was an infection near one of my wisdom teeth and gave me antibiotics. That did seem to help and I no longer have much pain in the day. 3 weeks later and not much has changed. The referral was denied, the dental surgeon said it would be very hard to remove, so they would only do it as a last resort. They said to try re-filling that tooth as the filling was an old one. So they did that about 10 days ago and said if it's still painful after 8-10 days then they could do the referral again. Well it's still fucking painful, I'm still barely sleeping and taking fistfuls of pain killers every night. :insomnia:

So they've sent off the referral again. Again, because of COVID this could take weeks. So it's been about 5 weeks now since the pain started and I'm stuck waiting again. :waiting:

At least it's mostly not painful during the day and when eating.

Adding to my general pain, I was stung by THREE wasps today. I was cutting the grass and I guess we have an underground nest near the pear tree, because a shitload of wasps came out when I went over the small hole I didn't notice. One stung my shin, one stung the back of my calf and I ran into the house. A third little bugger went up my shorts and stung me near the top of the thigh! All on the same leg. This was about an hour ago and the pain has mostly gone now. Feels more like brushing against a stinging nettle now.

Desired some ordinary American style chocolate.
Decided to walk, because if it's a run for junk food, might as well walk.
Basically no excuses for sanitizer at the convenience store unless I wanted to buy a Back To School Pack (lol).
Carried the chocolate home rather than eating with unknown cleanliness hands.
Didn't want the chocolate anymore on arrival home.

It’s still alive. I put it in a casserole full of rice as a moisture absorbant for a few hours on a heating pad on low.

I make lotion with various types of vegetable oil, depending on what I have, and mineral oil sometimes.

I don't have a recipe as such really, but I could try to splain if you want.

I have a bunch of shea butter and almond oil left, I made it with those and lavender, rosemary, and tea tree essential oils. It smells really good.

I got into making my own soaps, lip balms, candles, lotions, teas. If I could stop buying stuff I'd be saving money!

Also also also I know now why people don't buy big blocks of beeswax. Upper body workout just trying to cut off 5oz of wax.
