Sorry, Locky, it's not my intention to fool anyone, just to throw into sharp relief the kinship between Chuck and Jerome.

Why do I feel too stupid to comment after I look at one of Doc X's NBLs? :sadcheer:

I'm sensing a pattern here. If mick keeps misquoting Chuck with different :mlptroll:s like this we may have a very entertaining series of threads to look forward to.

My one objection though, mick, is how disingenuously pomo this series is.

Yes, I think Jerome's accusation of racism and Chuck's accusation of anti-Semitism are so similar that one cannot be justified without justifying the other. Unless Chuck is granted some privilege over Jerome.

So you and I both know that the accusation of anti-Semitism stems from you calling ChuckF Mockie in an attempt to score cheap points. And then we have Jerome trying to score cheap points. So yes, there is a connection and it's actually you, trying to score cheap points.

Good investigating there Mr. Pulitzer.

"Mocky/Mockie" was a name burn, Locky. Cheap it may have been, it isn't in the same league as a malicious accusation of racism.

That was obviously at mick. And let's be honest here mick, you didn't spell it Mocky, you spelled it Mockie. Branching into revisionist history now?

I think "malicious" is a fair comment on both Jerome's and Chuck's tactics. Are you willing to defend either of them against the charge?

Is fair criticism as malicious in your view? It isn't in mine. I think there is an important distinction between the intent to harm behind a false accusation of racism, and the intent to discourage harm behind a criticism of that kind of behaviour.

Do you deny using emotive language to score yet another cheap point?

I can't speak of the specific intent of Chuck or Jerome, just as I can't to yours but the context behind Chuck's and Jerome's comments are quite different. Do you deny that?

What is your intent here mick?

Yes.

I can't speak of the specific intent of Chuck or Jerome, just as I can't to yours ...

But you do just that when you criticise my choice of the word "malicious" for it's beng emotive as if that could trump it's being valid.

What is your intent here mick?

To show how unwelcome Chuck's behaviour is when it comes from someone other than Chuck.

Is "malicious" unemotional when used in this sentence?

Quote:

I rightly question your choice of adjectives and indeed wonder why an honest man would want to colour a reader's perceptions with adjectives.

I don't believe 'malicious' is a false colour. Are you saying you can't see any malice in this ...

I already explained it, any disparaging remark about a black politician's ideas must be racism. This what we have learned over the past three years.

Just following the rules of debate when talking about a black politician.
