Default More debt clock info

According to the debt clock, clicking away the seconds...

CompuServe Search

On this day in 2008, the official number of the unemployed was 143.530 million

On this day in 2011, the official number of the unemployed is 140,610 million

The official unemployed difference in 2011 is plus 2.920 million

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On this day in 2008, there were 50.829 million Social Security and retirees.

On this day in 2011, there are 66.350 million Social Security and retirees.

The difference is 15.521 million not employed in 2011, and not calculated in the number of the 2011 unemployed or the 2008 employed.

Out of the 15.521 million SS and retirees not working in 2011, who knows how many were listed among the 2008 employed. Even if it was as low as 10 pct, it would still mean 1.55 million less unemployed in 2011.

:facepalm:Nope. 10,877,568. According to your link. So you are off by... over 132 million.

Nope. So of these three numbers... all three are wrong.

Why do you bother to post this information -repeatedly- when you can't even accurately regurgitate the numbers at your link? Again?

As of the 2010 census, the official estimate of the U.S. population was 308,745,538.

According to the OP, dang-near half the U.S. population was unemployed in the years from 2008 - 2011.

Unemployment numbers are high, but that's rather excessive.

Hey, let's look at the length of time people are unemployed in the form of a chart showing the mean average:

That appears to run counter to your theory that things are much better than we've been told, Rickoshay75.

Other than getting employed and unemployed mixed up, the rolling numbers are official, and not mine, the debt clock's.

Other than poorly forming an opinion and repeating it in a new thread each time, with incorrect numbers, you just want everybody to know the numbers that you incorrectly quoted and calculated aren't yours. It was the debt clock, people! Don't shoot the math-challenged messenger for having opinions about stuff, and stuff!

Dear Rickoshay75,

Please stop being a shitposter. Aspire to be more. Dig a little fucking deeper. What is it you are going to say with your life? Vida loca or vida poca?

Hey, thanks for asking. What I would like is for you to dedicate a single thread to your debt clock updates, and then just update that thread, rather than start a new one each time. I'd like you to double-check your numbers before you post. I'd like you to bring up a subject that you find fascinating or amazing and then expound on what it is you find fascinating or amazing. I'd like you to offer some underpinnings to the basis for some of your opinions, like some links to other people who have interesting things to say on the subject. I'd like you to respond more directly to the topic. I'd like you to say things that are intentionally funny, and share a sense of humor. I'd like you to go to the Say Hi, Gracie thread, and introduce yourself, say something about yourself, like:

sample introduction hey, I found this forum because when I had sex with a hobo on a train, s/he had a tramp stamp that read Freethought Forum . I'm a left-handed pitcher for a softball team in Poughkeepsie, and I work part time in a knitting shop. I eat nothing but kimchi and Hostess Snowballs, and only drink kombucha and Four Loco. I once was attacked by a rabid echidna. I recently recovered from scurvy and ague. I'm taking calligraphy classes and I wear horn-rim glasses and listen to a lot of Slipknot and The Carpenters and Kleenex Girl Wonder.

I'd like those things. I'd like to see that you posted and then be interested in what you had to say rather than an interest in what milk-toast train wreck you've accidentally served up, or non-sequitur you've offered.
