Default best Disney song bracket

Disney Bracket: What’s The Best Song Ever?Â*

This was just a time waster.

I have to say... most of the songs from pre-1989 aren't very good. The ones from Sword in the Stone and Peter Pan do not compare well.

And of the songs I wasn't very familiar with, I would say I Won't Say (I'm in Love) from Hercules was surprisingly good.

I would say that some of the pre-1989 song aren't very good. Some of the early Disney jazzier scores (like The Jungle Book and The Aristocats) have some really wonderful songs.

Where the fucking fuck are songs from Winnie the Pooh? Dump a song from Pinocchio, Enchanted and (especially) The Sword in the Stone and get more Winnie the Pooh in there, I certainly can find better songs out there than some of these bracket choices.

They didn't have anything from The Hunchback of Notre Dame (I think God Bless the Outcasts or Hellfire would be worth including).

And for the earlier movies... Lady and the Tramp did have Peggy Lee as one of the singers, which helps a lot.

Can't do much better than Peggy Lee.

The Hunchback if Notre Dame has some good if not particularly memorable (to me) songs. I'd dump both songs from The Sword in the Stone for one Winnie the Pooh and one from Hunchback, even if I wouldn't expect any of the two to last past round 1.

I have a stronger emotional reaction to the Pooh songs, even if the songs don't really have a lot of emotion in them. More so than more than 1/2 the rest of the songs. It just reminds me of when my children were young.
