Sorry. Let me see if this lets me post it plain without embedding.

Guess not, and I'm too lazy to go figure out how to get the IP address to work because it didn't the first time I tried.

Anyway, it's 20 minutes long. Don't watch it in that little window there.

No, he took the shoes off before he cooked them.

He'd told Erroll Morris that he'd eat his shoe if Morris actually made the movie Gates of Heaven, so he did.

Morris and Herzog are two of the best directors ever, plus Herzog is just plain badass. You should go home fake sick and watch it.

How does one tell a 93-year old, emotionally-somewhat-overwrought grandfather to please not ever, ever email one of Pat Buchanan's racist screeds to him again? Particularly when one is the only member of that lengthy distro list (mostly family) who disagrees, and vehemently?

Tell him you don't have that email account anymore and don't give him a new address. Or give him an address of a viagra spambot.

OMG! That is the most salient news item I've read all WEEK. I cannot wait to start accusing every business that pisses me off of being a "dog friend." :excited:

I hate how you're supposed to be all deferential to old people even when they're being dumbasses, so I would probably argue.

Have you tried just telling him not to send those things to you anymore? Could you muster up the self control to delete them without reading? (I ask because I probably couldn't.)

If those aren't options for whatever reason, or if he's not respecting your wishes, I vote for Grandpa Fight.

I just picked the second option, because the last time I took the first option, it turned into 18 months of drama. Apparently, I cause them great distress and even persecution by not agreeing with them on everything. Which shouldn't surprise me, since I think that's actually part of the written credo of the Southern Baptist Convention. The whole situation just annoys the fuck out of me.

Criminutles, Oprah.

You won't leave work early, you won't start some giant war with your family. You're just not taking any of my advice today. Come on. It's Friday!

At least go throw some bacon at police cars or something.
